This is my third pregnancy and yet the first time I had to fast for 2 hours. I was confused.

Good luck to all the GD testers and retesters! Your numbers are all different than mine, mine are more on a 1-10 scale with 4-7 or so being normal. Also, happy weekend everyone! Have fun at the zoo quinn! We have my staff summer bbq today, it'll be strange to not have a beer in my hand, but worth it. Congrats to everyone hitting the third tri! Can't believe we're this far already.

I vote that 3rd tri starts at 27 weeks, because 13×3 is 39 which isn't even the 40 week term!
So I am in 3rd tri now. Eeek!

My one hour is in 2 weeks. I have to start fasting at midnight and the test is at 8:30am. Then I get three shots after my blood draw, Makena, Tdap, Rhogam. I almost passed out at the discharge desk last time, so I have really high hopes for this go round. Oh I get tdap soon, too. Maybe next appt? I need to figure out when I am getting my flu shot. I get one free at work (because it is required) but usually they do it early November, so I will already be on leave. I will probably just opt to do it in October if possible and bring the paperwork into work, even though it is more of a PITA. I do want to get it while still pregnant though because antibodies.

My glucose test is on Wednesday. I'll have breakfast before I go (likely eggs and cheese with coffee). I have a history of passing out after blood draws so no way I'm fasting unless they've specified that I have to ... and my ob said nothing about fasting. Last pregnancy my ob said to eat a protein heavy breakfast and not to eat like ... a donut lol. Now I want cheese and eggs.

I have my GTT is 2 weeks as well. And I get my tdap then. They didn't mention a flu shot and last time I got that trifecta on the same day. And this pregnancy is only 3 weeks behind my last, so it's not like the season is really different. I might just ask for it then and get everything over with at once. I have no desire to outsource a flu shot.

I'm so tired. I really hope my 2.5 co-operates and goes for a nap. So far it isn't looking promising. 😔

On Thursday I asked my doctor when I would be starting every two weeks appts. She said since this is my third, so I have a pretty good handle on what is normal and what isn't, and I'm coming in every week for my shot that she would feel comfortable letting me continue to come in to see her every 4 weeks if I'd prefer. As I get closer to the end, I would still start coming in every week.
I am fine with this because at a certain point it's like I'm waiting an hour to have a 5 min convo with my OB about how things are fine enough. And I can always call in or talk with the nurse giving me my shot if I think something is off.

Have no idea what shots you guys are on about as the only one we are recommended to have here when pregnant is the whooping cough. I've got it Wednesday, gave me a good dead arm with DS for a while lol.
I've been stabbed enough this pregnancy as it is with all the blood tests 😩

My shower invites went out recently, and people have started to buy things off my registry. My dad bought the stroller, and I'm super excited about it! I'm totally going to be a registry stalker for the next month.

I've been stabbed enough this pregnancy as it is with all the blood tests 😩 Tdap is our whooping cough shot, we are also encouraged to get a flu shot. Rhogam is just if you have a negative blood type and you have a partner with a positive or unknown blood type. This prevents your body from rejecting any future Rh-positive babies. You get it around week 28 and then after delivery. Makena is my weekly progesterone shot to keep this kid inside me for as long as possible.

So cute grumpycat! If only she was old enough for the real thing. My MW hasn't mentioned anything about whooping cough etc, I shall ask her next time.

I was specifically told you're more likely to pass if you eat a light, protein heavy meal about an hour before taking the drink. The nurses at my office always tell you as many "here's how to pass tips" as possible before hand. lol I don't think my blueberry muffin was light or protein heavy. I also worked a night shift the night before. Girl. XD You should not be eating carbs (and especially not sugar or fruit!) before the glucose test! I am laughing. You are going to pass the 3 hour test for sure. If you were right on the line after eating a blueberry muffin, you'll be fine. I ate, like... an egg. A boring old egg. Full of protein. Nothing else - no coffee, no toast, no fruit. And my result was 132. If I'd eaten a muffin, I'd have failed for certain.

We don't do tdap for pregnant women in Canada. I asked about it last time and my OB literally looked on Google at the appointment to see what I was on about. He looked into it more after that appointment but couldn't find any Canadian recommendations for it. Hasn't mentioned it this time either, so I don't think that's changed. So funny how recommendations are different all over the place.

Remember when I said we had larder beetles? We could never find any source of infestation. Hadn't seen one for days, then today I found a few babies behind my desk again. GDI. I think they're in the walls, which means there's basically eff all we can do about them. I'm going on a business trip tomorrow but when I get back on Friday, I'm going to buy some diatomaceous earth (a powder bugs don't like to crawl over) and get MH to put it around the baseboards all around our basement.
He will never, ever be okay calling a pest control company to use chemical sprays or anything while I'm pregnant or we have a baby in the house. I don't really blame him.
I'm just so over bugs.

Ugh, sorry misskilljoy, that is unfortunate. Hopefully your plan works. We've only ever dealt with silverfish, and while I'd rather not, they are one of the less offensive pests.
