Hi! We are team green, second time parents looking for name ideas. My family has a tradition that the first name and middle name start with the same letter and I'm planning to follow this. DD is Moll.y Mar.ie.
Generally we like traditional, classic names that are not overly popular.
For girls we have pretty much settled on either:
Elea.nor Elizab.eth nn Nora (Elizabeth was my grandmother's name but I never met her and she apparently was a nasty woman so its really just coincidence)
or
Al.ice Ann/Amelia (I'm open to alternate middle names for this one).
I'm leaning towards Alice because Eleanor and Nora seem pretty popular right now. My favorite was Eliza but DH vetoed.
Boys are much more difficult. My favorite was Emmett but DH vetoed. He wants a name that has one straightforward spelling.
Still left that we both like are:
J.oel Joseph (open to alternate middle names. Joseph was my Dad's middle name so I like that. I also like JoJo as a nn.)
Nel.son Natha.niel (Nel.son is a family name and I really like it, but I just don't know if I LOVE it. But it really meets our requirements as far as easy to spell, pronounce, well known but not popular, etc.)
Benjam.in (no idea for the MN)
Sam.uel (no idea for the MN)
DH loves Cole and I like Cole and really like Colin, but H doesn't like Colin and I don't really like Cole as a first name, only as a nn.
Last name starts with O and ends in I and sounds Japanese (though it isn't).
