45thparallel did you do The Raven Boys on audio? I’m having a hard time getting into it and wondering if it’s because I don’t like the narration

The guys voice was so relaxing. He’s narratored a few books ive listened to now. Maybe adjust your speed? I listed to him at 1.25. Never faster it was overwhelming.

I’m typically a 2.5 or 3x speed listener. I had to bump it down to 2x.

I just read the Woman Inside. I would say 3/5 stars. I wouldn't read it again.

45thparallel the same narrator that did The Hate U Give does On The Come Up, which is good so far. She has done a few books I’ve read now! Heads up about The Librarian of Auschwitz. The transitions aren’t the greatest, like it will go from a past memory to present time in the next paragraph. Same with characters. It will end with one character and start with another in the next paragraph. That being said, it was originally written in Spanish and then translated to English. So I didn’t drop any stars because of the poor transitions. I imagine it’s more of a poor translation than writing style. I liked it better than The Nightingale. I can’t stop thinking about this book and Dita the main character is a real person.

I’ll get on the waitlist for it at my library - I could temporarily venture away from my Wheel of Time series for this I think.

I just finished The Tattooist of Auschwitz and the Dutch Wife. I really enjoyed both of them. The Dutch Wife made me think a lotttttt.

I bet you won’t even need to ask me of that was the part I was talking about. But you can if you want. Lol
