I'm 27+1 today Warning: word vomit... Shit got crazy this past week. I woke up Tuesday morning with pain in my thigh and groin area and my left leg started to swell. I was already headed to the hospital for rhogam and my glucose test, so I talked to my ob who was in L&D when I got the rhogam and went to the ER. An u/s of my leg showed a significant DVT from my thigh up past my groin area. I have FVL, am monitored by a hematologist, and was on 40mg of lovenox daily since January, but I guess it wasn't enough.
I was admitted to the hospital and spent just over 48 hours on a therapeutic dose of heparin through IV. They won't operate or use the "clot busting" meds because of the pregnancy. Baby seems totally fine. I was discharged Thursday afternoon, and now I'm on 70mg of lovenox twice daily. The plan is that I'll be admitted to a hospital that specializes in high risk pregnancy/delivery at 38 weeks to get me off of the lovenox and onto a heparin drip until delivery. I'll be seeing an MFM and have lots of questions about that to ask (like, is the plan to have me in the hospital for two weeks or will the induce early?)
I'm still sore and swollen, so it sucks, but I'm dealing the best I can and trying to stay positive. I'm seeing my hematologist on Wednesday and my ob on Friday (with an u/s), so I should have a better idea of the plan for monitoring that the have going forward.

1. How far are you now? 37+4 2. Symptom check: Horribly swollen feet (DH is calling my feet Fred Flintstone feet), can't sleep for more then an hour at a time, I pee a little bit every time I cough or sneeze, my hip is killing me. Sorry for the complaints. 3. What and when is your next appointment? Thursday for my weekly appointment. I'm hoping to tour the hospital (nothing like waiting for last minute) and get DH's car seat base put in too. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I'm ready for baby to be here. I'm so tired and uncomfortable. I had a good run but since I hit 36 weeks I can't sleep and I'm just over it. That sucks bethkate, I hope you are feeling better soon but I'm glad the baby is ok!

bethkate, I'm sorry, that sounds so scary! I'm glad you and baby are ok and that you have a plan going forward! king26, we just did our hospital tour yesterday so you're not alone. I was definitely the furthest along of anyone there. One girl wasn't even showing yet! I actually am kind of glad we waited though cuz all the info is fresh in my mind now.

1. How far are you now? 37w3d 2. Symptom check: Sore and uncomfortable and so very ready for this baby to come. 3. What and when is your next appointment? Friday for my weekly NST and they will finally start checking my cervix at all my appointments now. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Ive been having contractions that are painful but it's usually only a couple and then they stop. My anxiety is ramping up so badly lately. Like I just need this baby to get here safely and to be done. I've been making myself crazy worrying about what could happen during delivery for baby or me. I know I need to stop spiraling on that stuff but I can't!

cali, Glad I'm not alone on the last minute hospital tour. Like I've been to floor where it is before but never back in L&D. DH keeps saying we'll see it at the next appointment...um dude we are going to be 13 days out at our appointment this week! There may not BE any next appointments!! Also I'm sorry you are having anxiety. I think it's probably normal at this stage. My anxiety has been while sleeping, I've been having terrible dreams the last few weeks.

Oh wow bethkate, that sounds intense, I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Scary. I'm glad baby is doing fine, and I hope you'll start feeling better soonest as well. I hope Friday comes quick so you have a better idea of the plan forward. Hugs! king26 Those last weeks are rough! I'm like you, baby is welcome to arrive any time she likes, preferably yesterday rather then tomorrow! I too have been having crazy dreams lately, though luckily not really involving the baby or anything like that. cali I'm sorry you're anxiety is so high these days. I can relate though, I try not to but it's hard sometimes not to overthink and spiral on all the things. I just want to hold baby in my arms.. I know we'll still worry but it feels we'll at least have a bit more insight in how she's really doing instead of the guesswork now? Or something like that. As for actually giving birth, I'm still blocking that out cause if I add that to my list of things to think about my anxiety will fly through the roof! LOL @pinklantern, definitely try adding some pillows to your bed for extra comfort! Helped me a lot. I felt that things got a bit better midway my pregnancy, to get more uncomfortable again once I hit 3rd trim. Also, gratz on getting good results and team blue!

1. How far are you now? 38w4d - August 17 2. Symptom check:Swollen everythings.. feet, ankles, calves, hands, fingers, face. I simply don't recognize those elephant feet and sausage toes that apperently are attached to me. It hurts to walk sometimes, it hurts to bend my fingers as well. In the mornings I can't even pick up anything for a while. Ugh. Already felt whalish but now look like one too. Add in the general discomfort of having a 38wk+ bump, a teenytiny blatter, not being able to sleep properly etc and you get my drift 3. What and when is your next appointment?MFM appointment tomorrow. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group?I worry a lot about whether baby still is having a good time inside my bump and if she ain't whether she'll let me know properly. I hadn't ever expected those last weeks to be this hard on me emotionally - tis almost as bad as first trimester or maybe worse? I just want baby in my arms, of course we'll still worry but it feels we'll at least have a bit more 'control' over or at least insight in things then?? I feel baby move throughout the day but my brain is messing with me and I do swear that she's less active as she was before BUT then again, she's also running out of room.. and I do feel movement at different times of day so.. I just don't know! Also, I gained over 7lbs in a week time.. am totally WTF about that and hate seeing the number on the scale now. Must be fluid retention cause with as little stomach room I have left and the relux/heartburn and mild nausea of these past weeks tis not like I've been eating to warrant this weightgain. On Friday I woke up with a killer headache and it's lingered around in a milder version since. Had some serious visual disturbances on Friday as well, but chalked it all up to having been too busy for a few days. Then my mum consulted Dr Google, and my sister (a GP herself) visited on Saturday - and they both freaked me out about this possibly being symptoms of HELLP and how this could impact the baby etc. However, my BP is fine?? It's a little higher then it's been all of this pregnancy but still in normal range. Apperently a small percentage of cases of HELLP present without high bloodpressure? So yeah I'm a little freaked the F out (but trying to reign it in and staying cool heh). I'm seeing the MFM tomorrow so will ask him to check my urine though MH&I are debating whether to call L&D today already for advice in case the headache persists and the twinkles in my vision return.

muscari, I gained 5 pounds in the last week and am totally pissed about it. I also think it's fluid but WTF? I hope the headache goes away and I'm sorry your family freaked you about it. This is why I haven't told my mom I tested positive for Group B Strep because I know she'll look stuff up and freak out about it.

bethkate, sorry for the scare. I'm glad everything is ok. muscari, my weight always comes in waves. Don't worry too much a lot of that weight will go away fairly quickly in the first couple of weeks.

1. How far are you now? 23.5 weeks 2. Symptom check: Still floating along ok. I have to remind myself to slow a little some days. Chasing a toddler I snot for the faint of heart. 3. What and when is your next appointment? I had 3 A/S ultrasounds two weeks ago and my regular OB appointment last week so I'm in the clear until Sept. 6 when I do a growth scan, regular check, and the glucose challenge. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I confirmed with my OB that because of my chronic hypertension I won't go past 39 weeks, which would put this baby due around Thanksgiving.

bethkate – I’m sorry for the scare, but glad that they seem to have gotten things under control – at least temporarily. I’ve got my FX for clearer answers and a more solid plan for you at your appt on Wednesday. king26 – girl, do not apologize for complaining. You’re eleventy six years pregnant right now.. this part sucks. cali – solidarity on the anxiety. I’m still not convinced I’ll get another take home baby out of this, and the intrusive thoughts are, well, intrusive. I wish I could tell you it goes away, but until you have a squish in your arms, it doesn’t. Hang in there and lean on us, we get it. @pinklantern – woot for a chromosomally normal baby, and for team blue, and for movement! Sounds like it has been quite an awesome week for you! Congrats! muscari – I’d stop spiraling on the HELLP stuff. But uh, that said, vision disturbances and headaches (especially together) are considered emergencies. You really should call your OB on-call, and not wait until tomorrow. I’m a chronic hypertensive, so I’m kept on high alert for these things and what you’re describing (the sudden swelling, the headaches, the vision changes) are all textbook signs of pre-e. High BP is also a sign, but it isn’t necessarily required. You need to call someone, please.

AFM, I’m 37+5. 9 days to go until RCS.
We wound up in l&d last week because I had developed a headache on Wednesday (I don’t get headaches), prompting me to take my BP. My home cuff was reading 148/96ish, so I went to the pharmacy for a second reading. The pharmacist’s reading was 155/102, so I knew I had to call. The on-call OB wanted me to come in for tests/monitoring, because even though I’m a chronic hypertensive the headaches and numbers were just too much for their liking. Once I got to the hospital, my BP came down to a reasonable (for me) number, and my labs came back normal for liver enzymes and platelet count. After 4hrs, they let me go home (yay!). Problem is that I don’t present as a chronic hypertensive appearance wise, so I tend to get nurses/doctors who don’t know me worked up when my BP gets like this… especially when KU (and for good reason).
All of that gave us the push we needed to kick things into gear and got stuff packed up. I also used my completion discount for Amazon on Friday, and yesterday we have eleven hundred boxes delivered – so we have what we need. I *think* we are good to go at this point, which is awesome, because I’m over it. My sprinkle also went well. It was chill AF. I feel silly for being so self-conscious and up in my feels about people’s perception, because it was so clear that all they wanted to do was to celebrate the new baby (vs us as parents). I have great friends, and it was a great time.

Hai ladies! Things have been a little crazy for me since the baby arrived. I'm going to make an AW thread, but I'm waiting until I get home because I barely have 5 mins to pee before baby needs nursing, or a million people are in the room.
Sending good vibes to all of you. You all are getting so close!

Hi all! 1. How far are you now? 8+1 today, and my u/s this morning showed I'm measuring right on track! 2. Symptom check: Mostly nausea that's making me need to eat a handful of something every 15-20 minutes. So the scale was fun to see at this morning's appointment 3. What and when is your next appointment? We see the MFM on Thursday for a check-in. I wanted to meet with him given our situation last pregnancy, the high BP I had the last three weeks of pregnancy last time, and the fact that we didn't have a chance to get the genetic testing done that he wanted us to do before TFAS. After that, our NT scan is on 9/5, and we'll do Harmony then, too! 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I don't want to word vomit everywhere. So let's just leave it at work is making me crazy and I'm ready to quit, but I need another job first. So that's hard. And it's making my already-high anxiety even worse.

1. How far are you now? 30 weeks today!! 2. Symptom check: feeling good! 3. What and when is your next appointment? Tomorrow. just a regular OB. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? We signed the contract for the house! Now we have so many decisions to make as far as design goes (countertops, hardwoods, carpets, lighting, etc.) Once all that is done, I can' wait to start looking for furniture!

Will come back to tag later but just wanted tp post a quick update.
Good news, no protein in my urine so for now they arent worried about pre-e etc! They do want me to keep an eye on my symptoms esp the headaches and visual disturbances and call if there is any change. BP was 130/80 so while higher then it 's been all my pg (110/60) still okay. I do have pregnancy carpal tunnel, which sucks but explains why my hands/fingers hurt so much. And my elephant feet and sausage toes are just a bonus apperently LOL. Joy! Best thing he said was: this all should pass within a cple days after giving birth. 😆
We also were send for an CTG just to double check baby as she'd been so quiet and missed some kickcounts. She did fine of coz 😋😊 - i swear this kid knows exactly when she is monitored.. first 10 mins she was lounging about them suddenly it was a real circus in my bump. Much to grannies delight (as I can't drive a car myself yet and MH couldnt get off work mum accompanied me to the hospital☺).
