We did a lot more work on DS's room yesterday. Now we just need to rearrange the furniture and it'll be done. He's also been pointing out and complaining when he's wet. Yesterday instead of napping he took off his diaper and peed and pooped in his crib. I guess we need to start potty training.

parma986 that was me, yesterday. And later on I realized the next time I'm sorting through those clothes will be to donate/sell. ;( DH has cut candy out of his diet. This is great, I don't eat candy either. Except for indulgences while pregnant. I had a couple errands to run and I'm currently sitting in the van in a parking lot eating M&Ms.

Just a lazy Sunday here. DDs down for a nap right now but I wouldn't let myself nap since tomorrow is our first day back to school. Baby seems really high up today and I find myself catching my breathe more frequently. She's also just stretching, not necessarily kicking, to the point I'm gently putting my hand on my belly to encourage her to pull away. I love feeling any and all movements but the stretches -ouch!

cougarette Like for starting potty training. It's my mission next weekend. danvers My baby is doing the same thing, it's very uncomfortable when it stretches or changes position. But it is cool when you touch them and they move. We had a good day, went to a new park with a splash pad but forgot a bathing suit for DD. Not all the splash pads in our area are toddler friendly but this one was. It was also perfect weather to be pregnant and outside, not too hot in the sun. We went for lunch at this restaurant with a great patio, DD was amazing, we got compliments from all the staff on how well behaved she was. She was not well behaved yesterday before nap time so it's all evened out.

I think the nesting bug has bit me. I spent all day cleaning out our old room/the soon to be nursery. Most of our clothes hadn't made the move to our new closet so 4 trash bags and lots of sweat later, the closet is officially cleaned out of all our junk and clothes. We also have the crib and dresser done and H got our old gentleman's chest moved out of there. I am pooped but so glad to have gotten so much done. Taitai, I hope your H feels better soon and FX it doesn't spread any further than him!

We did our hospital tour today. I'm a little disappointed. No nursery, so I have to sleep with the baby in room. I was so excited by the idea of a nap without a kid around to listen for. The last time I had that was well over a year ago. I miss peaceful sleep. On the plus side, the hospital is only 24 hours post baby, then I get to go home where my NICU nurse mom will provide me an in-home nursery and do everything but breastfeed the kid for me.

That stinks about the nursery situation but it's awesome your mom will be able to help (and you only have to stay 24 hours!). Just having someone to hold/rock DD so I could shower made all the difference postpartum so it's great your mom will be able to provide a pair of knowledable helping hands!

She is also a lactation consultant, so I get that for free at home for the first 2 weeks of my child's life.
