Hi ladies, yesterday I noticed a bump on my left areola that's tender, red, and slightly warm. It's raised up and almost could pass for a little nipple. I've had a clog before but it's always been deeper with no raised areas so I'm not sure what this is. Everything I've googled talks about these bumps on the actual nipple and this is to the side.
Could this be a blister or really clogged duct?

Clogged Montgomery gland maybe? Can you call your LC or La Leche League Leader or OB/midwife for advice? Probably similar protocol as a milk blister except it shouldn't be restricting milk flow..?

Thanks, I think I will call my LC to see what they suggest. I made the mistake of googling and saw some....horrific images! I'll never learn! Lol
