Age: 2.5
Milestones: More and more talking. He's using actual sentences and telling stories now.
Challenges: He and his brother have been fighting constantly.
Funny/cute stories: The road in front of our house was torn up and replaced with gravel this week. He's been living his best little toddler life watching all the big equipment come and go. Every night when H gets home from work, DS2 gives him a full report of all the action that day.
How are you? I had my big GYN appointment today. Basically, my options are KOKO with the crazy periods and take a hemophilia medication to try to control the accompanying anemia, a hysterectomy, or uterine ablation with a tubal ligation. I know I said I'm coming to terms with everything, but I'm really upset about those being my only options. I was hoping we could come up with a better plan. It's silly, but H is about to get promoted, and a "promotion baby" is kind of a thing around here, but there'll be no promotion baby for us.
Anything else? Nope.
QOTW: What state or country do you NEVER want to go back to? Hmmm. I'm having a really hard time coming up with somewhere! There are places I'd never want to live again (northern Louisiana!!) but nowhere I'd never visit again.

Age: 4
Milestones: I can't think of anything this week.
Challenges: I caught her playing in the toilet water. WTF. She's never EVER done this. IDK if she's bored at bedtime or what, but I couldn't believe it. I'm still fuming about it.
Funny/cute stories: Every time I take the baby's clothes off so he's just in a diaper, she wants to strip down to her underwear, too. Then she runs around yelling, "Naked babies! There's two naked babies!" And the baby laaauuuughs! It's pretty cute.
How are you? Surviving. I'll update in the All AL Check-In.
Anything else? This is day two of a migraine. I'm tired of seeing stars and having to stare at a computer screen for work. At least I'm at home in my yoga pants, but damn this sucks.
QOTW: Hmmm... this is tough. It's not a state or country, but the Atlanta airport. God, I hate that place. Maybe you could consider it a country LOL

Age: 14.5 months
Milestones: can take off her shirt, open the oven, sign for milk (though she also stated using it in general for wanting something), ...
Challenges: she's began to test boundaries and be defiant.
Funny/cute stories: Oh goodness. She's always doing something. I think the cutest thing she's done recently is when I wrapped her baby bear on her to wear. She had been bringing me wraps several times a day for a couple weeks (since she learned to open her dresser), so I figured I'd see if she likes wearing her teddy bear that she's always carries around and she LOVED it. She wore it for like an hour. It was so adorable. I need to break out the sewing machine and actually make her a wrap or ring sling or something.
How are you? Meh.
Anything else? I'm a little worried (and sort of catastrophizing) about her height. At 9 months and 12 months we checked her height a few times until we were all really confident that it was right. But she fell from 98th percentile to 54th and hasn't really grown much, if at all, since then. I made the mistake of googling and now I'm a bit freaked out. Her weight is fine, it's just the height. Ugh.
QOTW: What state or country do you NEVER want to go back to? Colorado! Man, fuck Colorado so hard. Lol. When we were moving out here we were driving through Colorado and coming out of the Eisenhower tunnel, going from clear and warm to freezing and ice/snow, our tie rod end breaks and we're stuck in ski resort country where a soft taco at taco Bell was $4 for over a week. Then, we finally get our car back, drive less than two hours, and hit a fucking deer. Stuck again for another week before we say fuck it, get a rental, and leave. Never again.

Age: 2.5 years
Milestones: Began potty training!! Not 100%, probably not even 60%, but we've begun and it hasn't been terrible! My work hours make things hard to be consistent, especially with an hour commute each way.
Challenges: We went on vacation last week, slept in same room, with LO on an air mattress, TV on to fall asleep, and now he refuses to go to bed without dramatics. Once he's in his crib and door closed, he is fine. But I still hate walking away when he's crying.
Funny/cute stories: Went out to dinner tonight and a 8 month old baby was sitting right behind LO. He turned around and showed her all his crayons, telling her the colors and showing her animals on the placemats. At one point during dinner, she started to cry and LO said,"Oh, no! Baby is crying!" So cute.
How are you? Loving summer!
Anything else? Trying to start up a new aspect of my job: a middle and high school riding team. Really excited about doing so! And praying it leads to more money.
QOTW: What state or country do you NEVER want to go back to? After the 2016 election, a lot of states are now on that list...OH, NC, PA, TX...

Age: 4 years.
Milestones: he is trying out a lot of new vocabulary words recently.
Challenges: he is really cranky lately. I wish he would be my normal happy boy.
Funny/cute stories: lately he says "I can't play with that, it's damaged" whenever something is broken or not working. It makes me smile every time.
How are you? Alright.
Anything else? His aunt told him that she and her husband are expecting a baby. He has been asking so much I though he'd be thrilled but he seemed hesitant when she talked to him about it. He has also been saying things like "you said you'd have another baby" and he sounds mad when he says it. I'm worried he is frustrated that we aren't having the baby. There is obviously nothing I can do about having another, as I'm benched indefinitely, in just worried about his reactions lately.
QOTW: What state or country do you NEVER want to go back to? I haven't really traveled much. Probably Kentucky. I'm not a fan.

Age: 2 years
Milestones: he is getting to where he can name colors now. He particularly likes yellow.
Challenges: he hits a lot. It's exhausting. We're also still waiting on insurance to accept OT's goals and tell us what their willing to pay. I wish they would hurry up. He had his evaluation a month and a half ago.
Funny/cute stories: he loves standing at the windows and watching his dad mow the yard, lately he has taken to pretending his Melissa and Doug vacuum is a push mower and he'll even do the jerking pull that H does to start the mower. It's adorable.
How are you? Doing ok.
Anything else? Not much.
