How is July already?
I'm on tenterhooks over this bill, though I really shouldn't be since it's likely to pass. It's just so awful in so many ways. Hopefully enough terrible things can be stripped from it so overall damage can be somewhat minimized.

I've been seeing suggestions to rebrand it, especially since those detained in Alcatraz were given due process, unlike those who will be going to the facility in Florida. Possible names floated - Alligator Auschwitz, Gator Gitmo, DeSantis Death Camp. |

My DS1 put a little flag in our yard a while back and last night I pulled it out. I just can't anymore. My H has different feelings (which are also valid) - he feels like we can't let the worst of humanity co-opt the flag, it is still our country. I get that, but I am absolutely not feeling it right now. There is nothing to be proud of.

I love how both chambers know it is a bad bill but wants the other side to kill it so they don't have to look bad for MAGA/TFG. And there are open seats because D representatives keep dying so yeah |

Everything is too much. My anxiety is really ramping up. And I think my dog had a seizure in the middle of the night. I’m waiting to hear back from the vet. I haven’t said anything to the kids since I don’t really know anything. DS will not leave me alone and I just want to go lay in a dark room.
