Do you tip when you get Grocery Pick-up?
I pay a small fee for the ClickList pick-up ($5). I know this doesn't go to the people that get the groceries.
But then again, the person who actually brings them out probably doesn't pick the items.

No, but I guess I should have tipped those poor ladies who loaded my groceries in the rain today...

We do the free Wal-Mart pickup and I don't tip. If I lived in town and they came to my house then I would probably tip.

Just rub it in my face sarenu...... I'm kidding. I'll live vicariously through you. I'm sure the other rural-dwellers in my state do without too.

I use Instacart sometimes and do not tip, that is included in the fee that I pay to use the service. milano, even if you don't have curb-side pickup in your area, maybe you have grocery stores that do Instacart? It's a grocery delivery service. And don't worry, soon Whole Foods will deliver via Amazon drones, so...

I would be thrilled if I could get whole foods droned in.

I've never really considered grocery delivery or store curb pick-up, but the idea of shopping with three kids makes me reconsider... stringy if MB did it, I would sign up YESTERDAY.

I am strangely resistant to it, for some reason, but I don't know why. Am I biologically driven to gather my own food? I have only used delivery service a handful of times and it is hella convenient. It also cuts down on the impulse purchases.

I was resistant to it, but shopping with my three was really awful. Once I tried it I realized I could take the kids to the park instead of the grocery store, pick up the groceries on the way home, and then my kids acted like it was Christmas unpacking food that we didn't have to shop for. I don't use it every time because the regular grocery store is cheaper on a lot of items.

I'm lucky that they are frying it out at a grocery store near work. I probably won't do it every week, but it's nice when we are out of town during the weekend.

But I felt that way even then.

We have never done it in our current town. Wegmans offers it but it's a flat fee plus a fee per item. We are not that kind of rich.
We used Peapod when we lived in Boston. I'm fairly certain we never tipped.
Anecdote: Best use of Peapod was when we got stuck coming home from Disney. We placed a Peapod order while we waited in the airport and had food when we got home.

I used peapod and it's like 10 bucks for delivery. Everything else the same. They even have technology so it like knows your regular items from week to week and such.

Yeah, the Walmart one is free, and they offered $10 off your first order. Definitely wouldn't be paying for it.

Our grocery delivers to our house for no extra fee if you spend $100. I agree it feels really privileged but I first did it during flu season when DS was too ill to leave the house and now I can't stop. I hate physically being in the grocery so, meh.
I also do much better at meal planning and only buying items on my list when I can sit down at the computer at home and take my time. So ultimately it saves me $.
I tip $5.

Pure joy I tell you, he is SO EXCITED about "all this food we have now!" And now that I've typed that out I'm thinking that maybe going to the grocery store only twice a month isn't enough. Apparently he feels starved or something when we run out of the essentials.

All of the grocery curbside programs around here prohibit tips, so it's one less thing to feel guilty about thank goodness.

I wouldn't be able to do it if it weren't free. Our Kroger and HEB charge for the service but Wal-Mart doesn't.

I've never done it, but I'll probably at least consider it when I have two kids some day. One's not so bad grocery shopping, two seems like it would be a nightmare. Then again, I might feel weird about other people picking out my meat and produce, I get annoyed when my husband goes to the store and gets produce and meat sometimes because I didn't pick it out.

Kroger usually has enough click list specific coupons on things we usually buy that we don't actually end up saving the fee anyway. We love using click list when we just don't have the energy to think about going into the store.
Around here, you tip the delivery service, but not the pickup ones.

I take 4 kids to the grocery store every week. AND I return my cart. Go in and buy your own groceries, you wusses.
Just kidding. I'm hellajealous there is nothing like this around me. I am broke, but would pay every penny I do have to have someone bring me groceries directly to my car.
