1) Funny stuff: he is a little pickpocket! He has a stuffed animal with a zipper compartment and he has been going to grandma every so often asking for money (and she totally would give it to him!) and then putting the bills away. This week, he has started going into my and DH's wallets and taking cards and money out and putting them in the stuffed animal. I can't even be mad that he's doing this because it is hilarious and he's really good at it! Also my 2-year old is better at hoarding money than I am 2) Aww: Snuggles. I got SO many snuggles this weekend. Also we are working talking about when things make us happy and sad and mad etc. He said something mean and I told him that it made me feel sad and he gave me a hug and said "I'm sorry I made you sad mama. I'm sorry." Heart melt. 3) Ugh anytime he is tired or hungry. The toddler 'tude. Ugh. QOTW: I love summer for all of the sun exposure, but I love fall for the scenery and everything pumpkin!

1. What hilarious thing(s) did your tot do this week? (Give us a laugh!) She learned to take her clothes off! 2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) We've been working on expressing emotions and she's really latched on to clapping when she's happy. It's so adorable. She'll stop playing and put her toys down so she can look at me and clap and say yay. It's so sweet. 3. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) She figured out how to open the oven! 4. Share a pic from the week, if you please!

1. Funny: She's clearly going to beat us at our game. We told her that was enough Elmo for the day, put her tablet up, and got involved with something else, only to have her come walking around the corner -- tablet in hand -- saying "uh Elmo?" "uh Elmo?" .. we laffed and laffed and laffed. 2. Sweet: Her newest thing is saying "bess yeww" whenever one of us sneezes. I just love how polite she is. It makes me feel good.
3. Challenges: Ever since MK has been back from deployment, bedtime has been a nightmare. So has administering her maintenance inhaler. I know it is a combo of separation anxiety (bed time) and acting out out of confusion (inhaler), but it is really frustrating to have such a great routine going and then have it seem like it has gone to shit.
QOTW: I love spring and fall. I'd say I slightly like spring more, because I get to bust out my flip flops and flowy dresses, but I do love the crispness of the air in the fall. Why is because I hate being really cold and really hot, so I welcome the in-between relief that spring and fall bring (or did when I lived in a state where we actually experienced all 4 seasons).

1. Lately he's been putting his hands in his diaper and laughing. What a weirdo. Boys.
2. He's been randomly coming up for hugs and kisses. He's definitely not my affectionate kid either so I'll take it while it lasts and ask often.
3. His independence is something I'm glad he has but dang does it cause issues sometimes. My niece had her 5th birthday over the weekend and we had a pool party. This kid refused to let anyone hold on to him even though he can't swim. He settled for a hand but threw the biggest fits until we compromised.
QOTW - summer! I love being outside (before it's blistering hot), taking beach trips, being off with my boys, fresh fruit, the sun being out longer, basically everything!

1. Whenever she runs, her arms go backwards like a cape. It's hilariously adorable. Also, Sunday morning I wasn't ready to get up when I heard her, but she was content so I went back to sleep for a half hour. When I went in there, she had pulled one arm out of its sleeve and was trying to get the other one out. This was her first attempt at undressing herself. She just had a big, goofy grin. I wish I had my phone on me for a pic!
2. She's learning more body parts. Elbows and knees are her favorite for some reason. She is so good about laying down for nap or bed. She likes sitting on her potty seat before baths. We only leave her there for a minute and she hasn't done anything productive there. She does insist on a square of TP to wipe her vagina, though! 😂
3. Occasional biting. Money sucks so we're taking her out of DC after this week and FIL is going to watch her. He's retired and already watches her 14mo cousin part time, too. It's great that this is a. Option for us, but it makes me so sad that she can't stay where she's thriving and there are more kids to interact with.
QOTW: I love all four seasons (winters in MN are a bit much for this WA girl, though!), but summers have my heart. It's the season of my birth and I love warm weather and being out in the sun.

1. He's been all about playing peek-a-boo with his sister. Like putting a blanket over her, taking it off and laughing. Thankfully his sister thinks it's funny too.
2. All the hugs he's been giving. And he's been getting so good about saying Please and Thank you.
3. This 'No' thing. Holy balls. Everything is no. To the point he covers his face with his hands and just says 'no no no'.
QOTW: fall. I love the crisp air, the color changes of the leaves, it's when I got married and when both my babies were born.

1. She's so into her rain boots these days. I think part of it is because she can put them on, but it's seriously the first thing she asks for in the am ("mommy boots pwease?"). PJs and boots, diaper and boots, naked and boots... Girl is obsessed.
2. She's starting to learn her ABCs, although it currently goes something like "A, B, C, E, N, O, P, T, U, V!" She's also started saying "sawwy mommy" when she does something she's not supposed to, which is too cute. And suddenly now mama had become "mommy."
3. Major toddler attitude. She knows what she wants and if she doesn't get it, she's pissed.
QOTW: Totally fall! I can't wait for cooler weather, changing leaves, the smell of wood fires, college football...

1. Funny: He was trying to get into the corner where all of our tv cords are tied down and we told him no. He stood up, made his eyes super wide, and froze for a ridiculously long time. It was like he thought if he was as still as possible, we wouldn't be able to see him. We were dying. "Nothing to see here, ma. Nothing to see." 2. Adorable: We had dinner with my besties and he was trying desperately to mimic my three year old goddaughter with his fork and spoon. 3. Challenges: He doesn't understand the time it takes for us to get him something. So he'll ask for milk, and then screams hysterically because it takes us actual time to get a cup, pour the milk, and hand it to him. We're the worst. I should work on being able to pull items out of my ass.
QOTW: Fall. I love the start of school and the chill in the air and having an excuse to have a million and one pumpkins decorating the outside of my house.
