I will have to call my sister to have her explain how to use the pump then LOL. We meant to get to that when she visited last weekend but didn't. I unpacked everything and put it on the shelve the other day and was like OMG what's all this for lol. I wonder whether it'd help stimulate the baby to get moving, too!?! And won't I run the risk of milk coming in before baby gets here or is that stuff regulated by hormones that I don't have yet cause baby is still inside? Yes, it's the hormones that'll make your milk come in you'll probably just see the colostrum come out. That's what I thought but I wasn't sure. LOL that prolly was a total noob question hahaha! I'm still confused as to why only my left boob leaks and my right only has had some dried somethings on occasion.. Hopefully once baby gets here they both get with the program! I do mostly sleep on my left side so maybe that's playing a part too.

Ugh I have to get myself moving or I'll never get anything done today. Tis one of those days where I get out of bed feeling exhausted already. I may or may not have overdone things these past days... it's just so hard to know when I reached my daily limit as my energy reserve is different every single day and I won't know I ran out until I actuall ran out?? But I want to get my bassinet finished so I best get my ass moved!

Soooo I finished painting the bassinet. Now I'm waiting for it to be dry enough to be put back together. Which would be around like 10pm tonight.. so I guess that's for tomorrow heh.
MH is a grouch today! He is working a weekend shift, but was able to come home a little earlier then expected. All good and I enjoyed having some company, but while I was painting apperently a bug got into his panties and he's all pissy and moody now. Pfffffff men!

muscari pumping may stimulate some contractions but there is no telling how strong they will be. Could just be more BH. The dried stuff is little amounts of colostrum that have leaked. And don't worry the real milk won't let down until after baby comes.

My blood pressure was high at my appointment yesterday, but they were running an hour behind so I think I was agitated. She didn't send me to L&D, but told me I need to rest.
My work threw me a little baby shower yesterday, which I was late to due to my appointment running late. But, we got the bath tub which we needed. And, some clothes.
Today, I'm trying to rest and just lay on the couch. But, having a toddler makes it hard. T pooped on the potty for the first time. The kid has little interest in using the potty and has fought us on it, but I recognized her tell of running to her bedroom to poop. She was pumped about pooping on the potty - she got a sucker and a new Pez dispenser.

bsouls sweet about the pooping on the potty! Sometimes after that first one they become more intersted, but be prepared for the interest to wane a bit after baby comes home (kiddos often regress for a short time). Yay for the bathtub! Has anyone else seen the cool insert that amazon has where you just turn your normal tub into a smaller tub? We want that! How much higher was the bp though, because sometimes a small jump while higher then normal is still ok apparently.

elliecat17 not sure whether it's the same, but friends of ours have an insert they put down in their bathtub and make it suitable for baby to bathe in. Pretty darn handy! Unfortunately we don't have a tub boooo haha. We did get the ductwork and plumbing put in when we had the house built, thinking we'd add the tub ourselves before too long.. been 5 years now oops!

muscari haha no kidding. Baby kicking is actually causing small contractions for me right now. But then again so was scrubbing the kitchen floor.... Waaah, the urge to nest much, that you were scrubbing the kitchen floor? I really want to clean too but my ticker won't let me. Plus I'm too swollen to move around comfortably too.. MH actually swaddled (?) my feet in hopes it'll help with the swelling, they were so swollen again yesterday it was painful to walk or even touch them. I'm trying to figure out which day next week I can have a professional cleaner come in to do my chores..... it feels like such a crazy luxery but I just can't manage on my own and MH is working so much. A friend offered to clean for me but I'll be damned if I let a friend clean my house - I just can't! I think I've had like 3 trail contractions over the past week.. but nothing really interesting. **triggerwarning** I sort of expect them to be at least similar at the beginning to the contractions I had when I went through my induced MC.. I even had some back labor at the time. It was all rather painful. All I've had so far is some period like cramping!

muscari it might be. It looks like a little wall? Hmmm, no it's more like a tummy tub that can be attached in the middle of the bathtub..of sorts. Yours sounds handier - saves on water since you don't have to fill the whole tub??

Yours sounds handier - saves on water since you don't have to fill the whole tub?? Yeah that's why we liked it and it can be put on the far end of the tub so as baby grows it won't hit the faucet. As for contractions mostly all I've gotten to this point is lots of back ache and period like cramps although I did get one a few days ago that was so bad I couldn't talk. At least I know what to expect now. Sort of took away the fear of the unknown a bit.

elliecat17, I do sorta hope to put in that long-wanted bathtub before the end of the year (or at least before baby turns 1?? lol) I wonder whether it's still handy then to have it? Re. contractions, yeah it's good to have some sort of idea of what to expect! Glad you feel less anxious about the unknown now:) For me it's partly the opposite, I worry it'll bring back memories at first and throw me for a loop, but well I guess I'll deal with it then if that happens.

Awwww muscari so many hugs! I'm sorry you have that worry to contend with. The tub thing looks like it would be good through 3 or 4 years old.

I'm going to ask my Dr this, and it probably differs by hospital, but does anyone know if you can sit on a birthing ball once you are on pitocin? I'll be induced on Tuesday, and I'm hoping to avoid lying flat on my back this time.

I'll be induced on Tuesday, and I'm hoping to avoid lying flat on my back this time. My understanding from my Dr is that as long as I don't have an epidural I can basically do whatever I want - tub, walk, bounce, etc. it's once the epidural goes in that you're confined to your bed. Eeps! Tuesday! DH now wants baby born on Tuesday because it gives him a ton of days off in a row from work since he has two days off this week and then he'll get 2-3 emergency days off. 😏 It doesn't exactly work like that, DH..... But, I bought some red raspberry tea bc my SIL swears it helped her go into labor with my nephew. Anyone tried anything or heard about this tea being magical? It's supposed to be delivered today (thanks, Amazon!)

I need to get motivated to start packing again. I was on a roll before baby came, and now I'm feeling like I need to catch up. Just a little over 3 weeks before the move she MH will be out of town for training for 2 1/2 of those weeks. Luckily my MIL comes into town on Wednesday to help me. It's going to be a stressful time. 😣

happyfeet9 Big hugs momma. Cluster feeding is a nightmare. I can't imagine twins on top of it. And a cranky toddler as well is a special form of torture. One minute at a time. It won't last forever (though it feels like it right now, I'm sure).

thinkchocolate05 At my hospital you can do anything as long as you can stay on the monitors and don't have an epidural. I think there are a few restrictions after your water breaks too, but I would imagine the birthing ball is fine to use since it would be easy enough to clean.
