Starting fresh. What are we up to this weekend?
H is working today, we don't have any plans. We've been running around so much lately I'm just using this weekend to get caught up on a few things and try to relax.

The main things I need to accomplish this weekend are rearranging our bedroom, getting the girls to clean up theirs, and putting up some Halloween decorations. But first, ballet class.

I woke up thinking we had no plans today, made breakfast, relaxed while I drank my coffee, and then at 9:10am realized DS1 had tball practice at 9 We rushed but by the time we got there it seemed kinda pointless so we just went to a playground instead. On the plus side, I registered for a couple classes at my local college so I can finally get a degree after doing my life backwards.

Just a two year cadd engineering degree. I kinda wish I had looked more into this when I was younger because it’s along the lines of what I wanted to do at the beginning, graphic design, but once I started taking advertising and marketing classes I hated it. Not that that’s the reason I didn’t graduate then, lol, but I think I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more and that might have helped motivate me. I am shocked that all the classes I took like 10-15 years ago are being accepted haha, so I don’t have to take my basics all over again.

I wish I were better at CADD but I do enjoy it — probably more than many other parts of my work. It’s such a great skill to have.

And take that "just" out of your first sentence, that's no small feat.

I feel like a lot of colleges are trying to help folks in your exact situation, so they take most transfer (or former catalog) credits unless they are potentially very out of date, like education/nursing. It’s a win-win for students and the schools.

H took the big kid fishing so just me and the little kid this morning. He’s really good about playing on his own so I can finish breakfast so I’m trying to see how long this can last.

I'm up and just ordered First Watch for delivery. I get the pumpkin pancake breakfast once a week while it's available. So delicious 🤤

We’re visiting SD for Family Weekend. Since she’s in band, we didn’t even see her yesterday except when she was performing at the football game. Her stepdad came up from Texas, so the four of us have been hanging out. He took her to dinner last night when DS needed to go back to the hotel and rest. Little man partied hard at the tailgate. We should actually get to spend some time with her today.

I love First Watch. My mom gets a loaf of their bread every time we visit, since she doesn’t typically keep bread in her house, lol, and then she inevitably sends the leftovers home with us, and I struggle to not eat the whole loaf in one day.

I love their bread as well! I usually don't get toast with my meals but sometimes I'll order a second meal to eat later and the toast is so good. I spread butter and preserves on it and so delicious
