The scenes coming out of Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and other hard hit areas are absolutely devastating. I hope everyone here as well as your loved ones are safe and accounted for. ❤️ I lost contact with my parents for about 30 hours. My dad literally walked through the woods to get to work where they have one working cell phone. The county where they live is absolutely devastated and the local news isn’t reporting anything about the worst of it. No water, fuel, power or cell service for most. As a military kid I didn’t really have a home, we lived in WNC for 13 years and my heart is just broken. Goodness, I am so sorry 💔 |

We're in central NC, so we were fine, but there were a ton of tornadoes spawned from the 1 main line. An hour-ish east of us, an EF 3 took out 15 buildings and hurt 14 people, some seriously. There was one about 5 minutes from my mom's house but I don't think it ever touched the ground. I just stopped by my grandma's for a minute, and she was complaining that the local news wasn't showing enough of the mountains (we're 3 hours east of Boone and 4.5 from Asheville). I showed her the pictures, and she was shocked. We don't have any family in the mountains, and I cannot imagine how much I would be panicking if we did. Ugh, we vacationed at Lake Lure this summer ☹️. This would be devastating any time, but right now is prime tourist season. The apples and Christmas trees have to be gone, and people couldn't get them from point A to B anyways. The downtown of Chimney Rock is so sad. A few buildings were are still there, but most is just....gone. That is devastating, I am so sorry |

Just Dance and crew tried to visit a local popular restaurant/small chain in the area (suburbs of Pittsburgh) and the manager wouldn’t let them come inside (no advance notice). Manager said no cameras/people from the campaign were allowed in the building. Anti cancel culture isn’t happy about it and wants to cancel the popular restaurant. I love it.

Thanks all, I was fairly confident that my family was fine, but it was hard not to worry. So many people have lost everything. A friend of mine somehow made it out and said she passed a bunch of national guard vehicles. It’s good to know help is on the way. I just know nothing there will ever be the same.

I think she likes Trump but knows it would be career ending. So she claims she won’t pick a side. Because there’s no reason otherwise for what she stands for in the LGBTQ+ community to not endorse Kamala. I hope I’m wrong but 🤷♀️ |

➡️ The most expensive events to occur worldwide (in descending order): Chernobyl, three different earthquakes in Japan & China, Turkey-Syria earthquake, then hurricanes Katrina, Harvey, & Ian.
➡️ Accuweather is estimating that the storm will cost 110 billion dollars. I honestly think it will go much higher once the scope of damage becomes more visible from Florida through the Carolinas.
➡️ I know financial cost isn't the most important aspect right now, but it is a useful metric to express the enormity of this catastrophe.”

He has 3 kids that grew up there, so I'm sure they are on top of it. In lighter news…
SNL had Gaffigan for Walz and Andy Sandburg as Doug. Both wonderful in different ways. And Maya has been studying. I could have closed my eyes and had difficulty guessing in some parts.

She had to go to the top deck of a mall parking garage to get cell service because there was none at her house. Hopefully your uncle is ok |

Article does say though that there will be fact checks live streaming on TV and x during the debate AND no muted mics.
