Adult birthday gift

I was invited to my dear friend's mom's birthday party, she is turning 70. The party is at a fancy restaurant. Silly question but should I bring a present for her? I thought about getting her a gift certificate for a manicure, if it were at home I'd go with a nice bottle of wine or flowers but not sure what is appropriate for this occasion. Thoughts?

I would go a nice card and GC inside. Do you have any small local stores you like? We have some beautiful plant stores that also have lovely home accessories, pots, plant hangers etc.
it's the kind of place you love to have a GC for because it's kind of frivolous. Or a manicure GC is nice too, I would definitely bring a small gift.
