Remember the IA tornadoes?

There have been an unusual number of tornadoes in the Midwest this year, but one of them flattened the town of Greenfield. A lot of people were left homeless and/or lost everything. Many of my coworkers were finding out as they were working that they had lost property or had severely injured friends and family. I worked that night in the ER and never wish to repeat the experience.

H and I volunteer with an organization that makes and delivers beds for kids who don’t have one. We’re making a special delivery outside of our normal range to kids left without a bed in that area.

What a nice thing to do! FYI, I first tried to purchase the blue dinosaur sheets, and it said they could not be sent to a gift registry address. (I bought a different set then, and that worked, so it must be a quirk with the seller of the dinosaur ones.)
