you, I'd be firing the nanny. Sleeping when she is supposed to be watching the kids is unacceptable.

I'm waiting in carline to pick DD up from her first day of third grade. I can't wait to hear about her day! I'm also glad I listened to my gut and got here early because it's slowly turning into a madhouse of cars and parents. School is starting already?! Where are you from again? I still have 5 weeks off. A lot of places in the States start in August and end in May.

you that Nanny has got to go. My god I'd be livid if she was sleeping while looking after my kid. Sometimes they can help being late, but a couple times is my cut off. But sleeping?! NOPE

The summer break has just started here, counting down until the kids go back to school. My H is going nuts in his restaurant as it means they are 10x busier since families are home all the time - and the kids tend to be more demanding so he's having to make random meals.
Plus my BFF's are being driven insane as well, we have 6 (nearly 7) kids between us, one has 3 kids, 12 (Step daughter) a 5, and 1 yr old. My other had a 4 and 3 yr old, and all of them (accept 1 yr old) go to school/nursery.
Omg I just realised DS starts nursery in 4 weeks. God I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the first month or so each time I have to leave him

Hey cnf, I don't want to post this in the D15 group today (obviously) but we got an "ok to wake" clock to help M with bedtime and it has been a miracle worker. If you think you can reason with E about the fact that she needs to be in bed when bunny is sleeping and she'll get it, I would totally check it out. M was refusing to lay down in his crib and would scream and cry but now we use the 10 min bedtime countdown for snuggles and talking about bed and when he goes in the crib I just explain that since bunny is sleeping, he needs to, and he lays right down. A damn miracle, I tell you. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C0XNITU/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1501706854&sr=8-3&keywords=kid%27sleep+clockWe got DS the plain yellow light/green light one, and it really is a miracle worker! He was getting up between 4:30 and 5 for months, so at age 2, we tried this. Within a week he was staying in bed until the green light came on. Best purchase we made! +1 MIRACLE!!!

So these clocks - have they helped anyone with middle of the night wake ups? Yawning again the morning after another 1:30 am wake up where DS wants to come into our bed. I blame our vacation (where he got to sleep with us because of an issue with the hotel room). But we've been back for 2 weeks and at least every other night he wakes up crying (but is totally fine). We're trying to let him CIO (which worked for us with his initial sleep training - going in tends to rile him up more), but last night was over an hour. I feel horrible letting him cry and horrible not getting enough sleep. I need my good sleeper back before these babies come!!

The school district my H works for started school on Tuesday and they go until the end of May. They get a few 2 week breaks throughout the year though.

I have lots of American friends in my other mommy group, but they all seem to go back more the middle of August. We are off the very end of June and go back after September long weekend.

I'm notnsure how old your DS is, but if he gets the concept of the clock it should. The night time bunny stays illuminated so if you can explain that he needs to be sleeping when the bunny is, he should be able to look at the clock and know he needs to go back to sleep. Obviously this is kid specific on if it works or not, but conceptually it should!

FYI Gap is running a 40% off sale, Ebates is giving you 6% cash back, and you can get GapCash too. I just placed a large order, at least half will go back but I wasn't sure about what size jeans I should get.

My car is in the shop getting an oil change and won't be done until around 2pm. So naturally I ordered $25 worth of Thai food to be delivered to me at work. I'm starving!
Also, this has been a very strange week for a multitude of reasons but it has caused me to have complete and total pregnancy brain. I have VERY much misread several emails this last week. One caused me to burst into tears in an anxiety attack that turned out to be completely moot. I need to get my shit together.

The yoga class I go to on Tuesdays and Thursdays is not prenatal specific. It's called Gentle Yoga and most of the participants are over 65. There is a different teacher for each day.
This week, both teachers have approached me and asked if I was personally familiar with acceptable pregnancy yoga practices because neither of them are certified in prenatal. The teacher today actually laughingly said I made her nervous.
I haven't done anything on my stomach in months and if a move doesn't feel right, I don't do it. I think it's pretty funny that this was the week they both showed concern.

AnnPerkins Do they know you're pregnant and just asked this week if you know what to do? Kinda late to the game ladies lol. I was told no deep twists, hot yoga, or inversions. This past week being on my stomach was uncomfortable so I asked the instructor what I could do in place of those moves for the next time.

One of the teachers had asked me about it a month or two ago just as small talk. Maybe she thought I wouldn't commit for this long or something. Lol I do need to look into a few more alternative poses, though. I've been having nerve pain in my lower back on the right side, so a lot of laying down poses have become uncomfortable.

We are under a heat advisory so I did all my shopping and errands early this morning. I'm not someone who likes being inside, it'll be interesting to see how long I Go before braving the heat.

My friend gave me a box of maternity hand me downs. Most of it is a little more business casual than I need in my day to day life, but I can make it work. This is a convo with DH about one of my favorite tops (FotB 2=Father of the Bride 2):

I am thankfully not always tired, but I am today! Was up in the middle of the night for a few hours whining (internally to myself) about the heat.

Has anyone tried the new line at target, Gillian &O'Malley??? If not highly recommend checking them out. They have amazing bralets that are good for everyone and the softest sleepwear.

I am back from my cottage vacation and sooo glad to be in my own space without a bajillion people. It was lovely but hectic. Trying to catch up now. So sorry about the hospital stay, bethkate! Let's hope you are on the mend and get to keep that baby in until Halloween.

DH will be home in an hour! I'm excited to see him, but not excited to share our bed again. I happily starfished and used his pillow the past couple nights. I didn't clean up much, but whatever. I took the trash out, kept the toddler alive, gave the toddler not one but two baths, and kept the cats relatively happy.

Let's hope you are on the mend and get to keep that baby in until Halloween. Thanks. I was just discharged at 7pm tonight. Going forward it's just lots of blood thinners and monitoring. Then, I'm being told that I'll be admitted to the hospital at 38 weeks to take me off of lovenox and back on a heparin drip until delivery.

bethkate you don't have to answer this if is too nosy, but do you have an underlying clotting disorder? I don't remember if you said from when we first did intros on TCF. I'm just curious because part of my job is to manage anticoagulation for the patients at my clinic who are on warfarin. I'm glad you got discharged and I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible!
