Yes last week was hotter! But I'm over it.
We did spaghetti with sauce from the freezer, grilled cheese sandwiches and, my favorite from the week- pretzel chicken tenders over Cobb salad.
Tonight homemade pizza which we're doing in the oven against my better judgement.
Egg roll in a bowl Salsa Verde chicken with Spanish rice and corn Pork tenderloin with rice pilaf and salad

I have a summer class that’s kicking my butt so I’ve been letting the kids cook most of the time. It’s been interesting.
Last night was shrimp fried rice (team effort) Tonight is Frito pie (kid 1) Tue: red beans and rice (me) Wed: something with fish filets (kid 2) Thur: heading to N.O. for the weekend

Any ideas for travelable snacks? We do a tailgateesque (get there early, kids play yard games, etc) outing with my in-laws on for a town's fireworks. My SIL is bringing pizza this year and I'm bringing snacks. So far, I have the tube popsicles (doubling as my ice packs in the coolers) and watermelon. I'm not sure what else I want to make/buy to take.

Or do they have to be cold? They don't have to be cold, but they do need to be prepped early since we also have a birthday party that afternoon. H mentioned making a smoked queso since he can toss it in the smoker on a timer and it can cook while we're at the party.

I would just go easy and not worry about actually making too much.

My husband came back from Costco with 4 pork loins, which is basically my least favorite thing to eat. But we're eating it tonight.

angelashly, thanks! My husband is a KILLER cook so whatever he does with it will be great, probably. It's just not my fave. I'll definitely share that one with him though because I love those flavors for sure.
