We've had two ten minute naps today. Mommy needs a time out. Ugh. T&Ps

I scheduled a meeting at 2 and no one showed up (because it was mostly resolved over email right before). But I'm sitting in the conference room alone to avoid people and my desk.
My mom texted me videos and all I saw in the preview was "he's officially walking". I just felt my face get warm and I almost started to cry. Luckily it wasn't really him walking and he's just cruising along the edge of the couch pretty quick, but holy cow I didn't realize how much potentially missing that milestone was going to affect me. I really just want to leave work and go pick him up right now.

goldenlove can you ask your family to follow the normal daycare code of not sharing milestones with you before you get to see them in person yourself?

FFMC: When I was a teenager and didn't know any better, I was babysitting my little cousin and she took her first steps. I excitedly told my Aunt when she called to check in. From her work Christmas Party. Where she was drinking. First time she had a babysitter.... Yeah....

goldenlove can you ask your family to follow the normal daycare code of not sharing milestones with you before you get to see them in person yourself? We asked my MIL to do this with DS1. She would instead say things like "He's getting so close to walking, I bet he does it for you this weekend!". I really appreciated that.

Shit day here. I put my dog to sleep this morning. I just want to go lock myself in my bedroom and cry. Instead I get to take care of all the errands and fix all the problems my husband was supposed to take care of weeks ago plus all my errands. With a super cranky toddler and infant in tow.
But apparently my husband deserves a gold star because he went to the store last night for me? For like 5 things? Two of which he wanted this morning to make pancakes.

J had a 2.5 hour nap this morning and less than 3 hours later she's down for another nap.
I hope she's trying to say 'I LOVE SLEEP' 😁

So poop. We all know its normal for babies to sometimes go a few days. But H has been pooping like 5 times a day lately. Sometimes they are just a little bit, but multiple are good size as well. Not diarrhea though. Is this weird?

Well, I nursed J. He was done and pushed me away. So I set him down in the crib awake. He protested for a second but I just walked out. And he PUT HIMSELF TO SLEEP! OMGFHFJFJXJDHDH!!

K's bedtime routine: Refuse to nurse, get rocked until fall asleep. Sleep 20-30. Wake screaming. Allow to be rocked back to sleep. When we put down, wake screaming. Repeat a few times. Finally actually nurse. Pass out until next feeding time.
