B got braces today! He was a champ, but I know he has a long two years ahead of him. They require appointments every four weeks for adjustments/cleanings/etc. so we're going to be there A LOT.

Don’t get me started. Thankfully I pre-scheduled PTO without realizing it overlapped. I just need to get through the next few days and then a few more when I get back. In the meantime? Hey did you know when you get your IUD removed it can turn you into a crazy person?
Me neither until I googled after being a huge bitch last night then crying twice already at work today.

How is he feeling? We are headed down this road! A few hours in, so far so good. They've only done the top teeth, and they skipped his canines for now since they're still pretty high up. They set him up with a kit of toothbrushes, floss guides, bristle flossers, a mirror, and wax for the brackets. It's a nice little thought from them! |

Like literally those words? That's bold. those actual factual words in large blocks of time on a color coded spreadsheet - literally had a color for non-working time that encompassed long lunches and "non productivity time" so all i had to do was look at the colors. this was not a new adult either. he was older than i am and i'm in my 40s My gosh |

My boss is clearly panicking that I'm about to leave (good!) and gave me a task that usually doesn't happen until later in the summer. Except it involves contacting every member of the executive staff on campus and/or their admins, and nearly everyone has vacation time this week. Sorry, bruh, you might be on your own on this one. Can't wait to be done with this shit.

After a day at the beach yesterday and a five mile walk with a friend last night, I had an awful migraine this morning and my period is late (see: hormones suck). Everything hurts and I'm dying.

Does anyone else have a seemingly lazy and unmotivated teenager? Mine seems to be straight out of central casting lately, he says he hates school, he doesn't see the point, it's boring, he does the bare minimum and has straight Bs, which to be clear the grades are not the problem it's his motivation and his clear ability to get straight As if he would just put in a tiny bit of effort that absolutely kills me.
And get this, he actually said to me "maybe I don't want the life you want for me!" which sounds like it could be straight out of an angsty teen drama movie.
But he still fully plans to go to a good college, and get a good job where he can "work a little" enough to fund his desire to "hang out and have fun". LOL

Today's the last day of school for my big kid. That went by quick. I didn't really account for him being out of school for 1.5 days this week plus the kids each have a day off next week but on different days so that's not great for my work. I may have to bring each of them to a job site and I'm not sure how that will go but oh well.

DS and I have the day off on Monday, and I want to do something fun and summery with him. It would be a perfect beach day, but it's grad weekend and the beaches will be paaaacked. (They were a nightmare on the same Monday last year). Debating if I want to deal with it. Everything else I can think of is stuff either DS won't like or H would want to join us for.

DH had a work dinner last night so the boys and I were on our own at home for the evening. At one point DS2 (clearly not wanting to be out-drama'd by his big brother) sighed and said "I miss dad."

When I'm typing a reply I often get an ad that pops up and I can't type. It just takes over the whole or a lot of the reply window and it's making me type even more poorly than usual

I took my big kid with me to a job site and he did really well and I was able to stay for almost the whole day. I’m going to bring the little kid with me on monday and we’ll see how he does (I’m not expecting much).
