Forgive me if I'm not explaining this well, because I'm certainly not coming up with Google search terms that are working, so I thought maybe you all could help me.
In my bedroom, I have a large, soft chair with a side table in front of it. The chair is an ancient hand-me-down that definitely needs replacing. The side table is because I like to do things like work on my laptop, paint my nails, do small craft projects, etc. while hanging in my room. So my problem is that I want to be able to lounge and be comfy in my room - I don't really like to just hang out in my bed to watch TV or even read, I want to just sleep there. However, my back, from sitting in a deep chair and hunching over a side table, is not happy with me.
I've tried looking for "table for deep chairs" or "lounging spaces for bedrooms", and Google keeps showing me either a full on work space or nooks or just big comfy chairs. I want to be able to curl up OR work. Note: I don't work from home, so this isn't hours of time or anything. But I do grade and lesson plan at home often, and I don't have a space for that other than my current setup or going down to the dining room table.

Current set up, the weird metal and wood structure is for cross stitch (not pictured, significant amount of unfolded laundry just out of frame):

LINKyou want the table attached to the chair like this or is table too small? A recliner with an attached table never occurred to me, but that makes sense! The table I currently use is tiny, it just has to hold my computer. I don't love the look, but the price is nice. The other two links you posted didn't work for me, I just got the website home page.

I misread at first and thought you just wanted a new table for existing chair, so I googled side table that goes over couch arm and got these, which I think could work? They’re just two examples and Australian ones so pictures just to show you what came up

They’re just two examples and Australian ones so pictures just to show you what came up I do like the style and depth of the current chair, its just trashed underneath a cheap amazon cover. Pillows are flat, cushions slide out of place constantly, badly stained. So I'll replace it, but I'd be happy with something similar. Side table that goes over couch arm is a good search term, I like those!

The elaborate fruit tray product photo of the second link is my favorite thing. But seriously, something like that would definitely be an option, with storage and a desk surface!

Small footprint, but big enough for my purposes, this looks like a great option!
