I love everything about this! What was on the menu last night? Lemon herb marinated grilled lamb chop, roasted carrots with pomegranate honey glaze and crushed pistachios, and jeweled basmati rice with saffron, spices, shallot, dried fruits, slivered almonds all mixed in. It was so good! There was also supposed to be tzatziki and ice cream but I don't eat dairy so I said you're off the hook for having to show me those. She had already made some baked phyllo brushed in honey to fold into the ice cream so I just ate that as a snack lol I'm glad you got the cooking lesson all to yourself. but I don't like lamb at all.  While the rest of it sounds good, in practice so many different things in the carrots and rice and my taste buds would be more like your dh not liking so much. Does the cooking class ask you about things you like or don't like ahead of time? or is it a set schedule. I'd think it's all set ahead of time cause I can't imagine being a teacher and having to take into account everyone's different palates and such. |

We realized a kid across the street is also at the same camp and they seem like a nice family. I’ve been meaning to exchange numbers so it was great to see them at pick up. Their kids are one year younger than ours but it would be so nice to have close neighbor friends.

My Netflix is being an asshole. B and I were watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine when it shut us off saying they detected a VPN, which we don't use. And now I can't watch it anymore. The web version can't even find the show, it's so weird!

I am so ready for the weekend. This week, we had picture day, pep rally and an unplanned fire drill. All of these routine changes are extremely difficult for our class. We have professional development tomorrow. But the morning session is on active shooter training. It includes different simulations of being in our classrooms with a shooter in the building. I hate it. |

I’m an auntie again! My sister got sent in last night and baby was born about 8pm.

My job has been a sinking ship for years. A friend works for the county department that oversees the non profit that I work for and said there are several jobs that I do not need an LMSW for. I have an MSEd. County job is a significant pay increase, very set hours, and a great pension. I have in insane sense of loyalty to my current boss, but it is time. I applied and feel excited about moving, but also awful for my boss who will go down with the ship.

My job has been a sinking ship for years. A friend works for the county department that oversees the non profit that I work for and said there are several jobs that I do not need an LMSW for. I have an MSEd. County job is a significant pay increase, very set hours, and a great pension. I have in insane sense of loyalty to my current boss, but it is time. I applied and feel excited about moving, but also awful for my boss who will go down with the ship. Good luck! You have to do what's best for yourself. |

If she’s as good as you think, she’ll be excited for you to leave a sinking ship for such a great opportunity. Good luck! |

klw , those trainings are so draining, I'm sorry. I hope you can treat yourself tomorrow night! I had a happy hour planned, but the training was postponed because the presenter had a family emergency. I know we will do it eventually so hopefully I will be in a better headspace at that time. |

We had to say goodbye to our 10 year old mutt a few weeks ago. Big thanks to sudsy for her help. It was awful. It is too quiet around here with just our one dog. We have been looking and hope to have another new friend in the next few months. Our big monster dog will be so cute with a baby brother or sister. |

We were so busy last week. This week was pretty normal but for some reason has felt like the longest week ever. We have no plans this weekend for the first time in while and I can't wait to catch up on some little projects and just relax.

I was really looking forward to pottery class yesterday only to realize there was no class because of school break. My H is taking the kids to camp for a quick visit so I will have a couple nights and a full day to myself to get some work done on the house. I'm hoping it will be productive and relaxing.

You sign up for the classes individually so they have a set schedule and menu and you only sign up for the ones you want. I don't eat dairy so I'm able to look at all the menus and not sign up for the ones that are dairy heavy. |
