Ran 3 miles last night with intervals. Food is all over the place. I am in survival mode and hate being an adult right now. But life goes on I have to keep moving forward. I just need to figure everything out. Adulting is hard.

I’m back!
Switched my lifting program this week (less lifts, less time) to accommodate tri training so this week is “testing” for lifts.
I LIFTED MY BODYWEIGHT!!! Deadlifts which was 15 lbs higher than my previous PR. I got 2 reps but was really limited by grip strength, my legs/hips felt great. I also got a PR in overhead press (55 lbs 🤪). Hopefully this program/momentum is good so I don’t stop lifting completely this spring/summer like last year

I took today off OTF. I am still not feeling 100% and I’m trying to force my body to rest. DS is also still sick, but as active as always, of course lol. It’s raining today so a good excuse to try to get him to do things inside instead of climbing outside.
Today was the 200m row so I am a little bummed to miss that, but also not that bummed because rowing is my least favorite lol.

3.5 mile run, 30 minute walk, and then a couple of walking errands. I have a 20 minute full body strength waiting for me after a meeting this morning, and also DD's girl scout troop is doing an outdoor hike this afternoon that I'm joining in on.

Yay for surgery being done coconutbacon and recovery here on out! 2k erg sprints were my least favorite part of my college rowing days, thatgolfb - well anything erging in general. I support the skip lol My annual walk to raise money against cancer started today at noon. Our family team is 40 members strong this year so I’m excited for the extra motivation to get out and about over the next 10 days. I ran 6.5km home today / 15k steps for the day.

Got 7 miles in yesterday. It was perfect weather and I felt really good (and I never got around to doing a long run over the weekend). Got in a little over 4 miles of base training today after a short myrtle session. NSV: my watch has moved my base training pace to a full minute faster than when I got it, so that's kind of exciting

Lunchtime workout and it was tough.
- 30 min Lower Body Strength with RK. I was loving everything about this workout until the final complex - 1 minute of 12 SDLs, 4 cleans, and 12 swings x 6 rounds (3 rounds/side) nearly did me in. It helped that she was cursing and breathing hard, too, but damn! - 30 min W4/D1 N2R - the first half of the run/walk was...rough...and I did not jog any of the recovery. I kept reminding myself that I've been away from running for almost 3 weeks and after RK's aforementioned tough workout beforehand. Thursday, when I won't be doing strength before my run/walk will be better. - 10 min Lower Body Strength with JK
I'm also trying to add in a 30 minute walk (tread or outdoors, weather permitting) on the days I don't run so I did a walk with some hills with Kristen last night so my legs were probably a little fatigued from that and the strength workout today.

Howdy.
I took half a shot of NyQuil last night in an effort to kick the cough and get some sleep. I slept through both alarms and H woke me up at 6am. Oops. Guess I was tired.
I squeezed in a bit after school. Nothing too exciting, but something.
20 minute hip hop run with JTR 10 minute arms and shoulders with Ben 5 minute core with Emma
Yoga tonight. Good has been good.

Wishing you an easy and speedy recovery coconutbacon! Do you have a timeframe for recovery? At least 2 weeks in a boot. Then I have post-op appointment, and we’ll see where I’m at. I think she said I can swim after 3-4 weeks (once the incision wound heals and there isn’t risk of infection.) And I’m hoping that also means I’ll be able to bike in the saddle around then as well. Pre-surgery she told me to plan on 10 weeks before I was recovered enough to start running again, and that I should not just jump into a half marathon out the gate (grrrr). That’s the high end of the recovery time for this surgery though, so it could be better. But also, it’s not a surgery commonly performed on this tendon (although she has done it before), so nothing’s certain. I know there is more PT and likely shockwave therapy in my future. I’m really hopeful I can do some 5k’s-4 mile events, even if I’m going slowly, in June.

Hiya.
I don't think I posted yesterday. I was short on time because of an appointment so just did a 20 min G/L and a 10 min core. Today was 20 min arms and shoulders with Callie, 10 min chest and back with JJ, 10 min core with Rad, 30 min walk.
B - Skinnytaste bagel with smoked salmon L - leftover Skinnytaste mushroom soup - H is out of town so I made this last night D - leftovers from Sunday - turkey and stuffing and corn. Not as appropriate on a 65 degree day, but still good. S - frozen banana with PB

I was only able to fit in 1.6 miles before A's softball game. I'm glad I made it back for the beginning of it as she started off pitching, she never pitches and my anxiety was out of the roof. She did great though and only let in 3 runs!
Squeezing in a quick 20 min run before grabbing the kids. Then another 20 min run before the C's bball game. I really need to get miles in if I am going to hit my goal for the month. I am going to do my best to fit in strength after the game, i really need to do it.

30 minute pilates this morning with Kristen - it was hard and not a slow warm up/start, but I don't regret getting it done. I think that will be all for me other than a walk, unless I get really wild and get strength out of the way later today instead of tomorrow.

Morning.
30 minute interval run with Andy Extra 10 run with Robin 10 minute chest and back with Tunde 5 minute core with Robin 10 minute stretch with Robin
Yoga tonight.
I did not stretch yesterday after my workout and damn could I feel it this morning. But I'm happy with my workout. My heart rate stayed low, even in harder pushes despite my heavy legs, which is always nice to see.
I didn't have anything for lunch today, so I grabbed a chicken Cesar salad from Wegmans. Otherwise food should be on point.

The weather is ridiculously beautiful today so I hopped on my bike for my pre-plan threshold test. Woooooof. I haven’t been on a bike since Sept and it felt like it. It felt hard all around. Compared to last year I went 1 mph faster on avg but lower Hr. It’s also about 10 degrees warmer so that probably helped me. Anyway it’s done and I can move my bike back on the indoor trainer for the next month 😂😭

5 min warm up run w/ Olivia 20 min 90s run w/ Jess King 20 min pop punk run w/ JJ
I figured since it was a 6:30 AM tread run, I'd have to scale and walk some of it, but I managed to hit all cues in both runs with the exception of the 7% incline run in Jess's run. Because no thank you please. I'm back on the macro bandwagon (day 3 of tracking) and my weight hasn't budged. I was really hoping to drop some water weight at least so that I could say I hadn't gained 4 pounds in the last month and it was all water, but no such luck. lol.
