Still on team snacks? ? ? I drew my line when we were required to provide snacks for a different team. Back when my youngest was in cheer they were requiring each cheer parent to provide snacks for all of the football players after each game. Amoungst other issues we noped right out of that. TF? no. we aren't feeding the whole town here. Sweetjane YES, leave me alone and i will bring what i want. when it's hotter than the surface of the sun in late spring, i even bring popsicles to the end of practice. it's hot and it makes the kids happy. come for me! McBenny also yes, my kids are already very familiar with "comparison is the thief of joy". i always bring enough for siblings bc again, i am the fun snack lady, but i don't expect that from anyone else, and i don't want my kid to expect it either.

I hate nose piercings. This is purely a me issue. I stare at them and can't look away. IDK why. I hate when it's placed where the back can be seen and it looks like a booger.

A few weeks ago I was actually going to get my nose pierced, but the piercing lady wasn’t there. I ended up getting small musical notes tattooed on my wrist. I think I’m going through a teenage angst stage right now.

I miss my nose ring. It was so cute on my nose.
But I’m about to be 45 and idk…I feel like the time has passed on getting it redone. I wish I had never let it close up but I’m not sure I’ll do it again.
I do not miss my belly button ring and do not want any attention to that area of my body.

Ah, such things we do not have in this section of the park. We also do not have popcorn at our concession stand. I wish! We have no concessions at all! The parents were talking last season about how anybody selling coffee by the ball fields would make out like a bandit.

Can someone get a massive coffee maker and set that up?

Yes, I have my ex’s name tattooed on me. Yes, it is a tramp stamp. It was also prior to prefrontal cortex development but stilllll. 0/10 do not recommend.

My kid sold about 300 of her 500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies knocking on doors. Nobody was rude to her. Maybe people were annoyed but didn’t answer. Oh well.
One house was having a party. She knocked anyway. The ring camera light came on but no answer. She left a paper with her QR code and told the camera she lived in the neighborhood, and when we got home, they had ordered 41 boxes of cookies. I imagine there was some liquid motivation.
At another house, the husband was ordering and all of a sudden the ring camera started talking. His wife was in a meeting at work and spotted the uniform and announced there was a Girl Scout on her porch. They paused the meeting and all of her coworkers placed orders.
It’s actually kind of fun. I do not mind being her adult while she knocks. It’s building great skills. This same kid used to literally hide behind me.

When I was in soccer the moms would just rotate who would bring the clementines that we'd eat during half time. Snacks have come a long way

I saw a video on TT that the nose piercing is the current day tramp stamp for current Millennials that are trying to hold on to their youth. I was like oh damn. They discussed other things as well but that was one of them.

Well not that exactly because I haven’t watched what you’re talking about but I just feel weird about it sometimes, like I’m too old for this and it maybe makes me look like I’m trying to be a youth. Either that or getting a second one right next to it. Double nose ring! I’ll be forever young!

I have a nose ring I got at 13 that I've had for 29 years. Its a small gold hoop. I just put my Monroe piercing back in my face at like 40. The hole was still open after having it out for like 5 years. It's also tiny and gold. Yolo

The septum nose ring is of cultural significance to Aleuts, so yes! I'm all for it. I don't feel I could pull one off so, I'm refraining. My belly button never closed, but no thanks to that.

I often wish I'd kept my lip ring, but I wonder if that would have affected getting some of the jobs I've had. My current boss wouldn't care and has told me to get it repierced if I want. But I feel like I'd be trying too hard if I got it redone now.

I don't want to visit my mom over upcoming spring break with the girls. Her mental health is spiraling and it was evident two years ago when we stayed with her that it was bad for me, bad for the girls. We're not staying with her, and we're keeping it short. I wish I could engage more with her, but even in my 40s and after lots of growth, I can't with her weirdo beliefs and emotional volatility, which has only gotten worse in her old age.
Anyway, this is only a semi-confession since we're actually going!

DD loves “soccer orange slices.” She doesn’t even play soccer, but that’s what we call them. What are soccer orange slices? Just when you have large oranges, and you slice them without peeling. I don’t know why, but they taste so much better than if you peel first. They were the standard sports snack in the 90’s.

I'm not familiar with 90s sports snacks but that's how I've always seen them served (mostly in Korean restaurants after a meal) so I didn't know differently.

OMG I wish ours would ban sunflower seeds. I find them everywhere. Last year, there were younger brothers and sisters hanging around the bench and would pick the chewed ones up off the floor and eat them.* I know this is 100000000% the parent's fault and I'm at a 1.1 about actually having them banned. Why do I keep coming in this thread? Eheheheheh "coming" Eheheheh "semen"
