This doesn't look like anything to me.

This is sadly true but I wish that we could figure out how percentages work on this board. That's the second time this week I've been like # + # =...101%???

Awesome! Someone who assaults people is now in charge of others well being. Well he did say he was sorry at about the 4 minute mark.

He also said that that's not who he is.
And another point is that 70% of the vote was in before the incident.

This is disheartening.

I really thought he would step down.
Yesterday afternoon I couldn't believe some of the interviews I heard on NPR. On man said, I'm paraphrasing - Oh, it is just a misdemeanor assault charge. Who doesn't have one or two of those themselves?

For the Record, I'm NOT defending what he did to that reporter.
It was wrong.

I mean, don't you think he faces slightly tougher reporting now that he has the position? It sets a terrible precedent. Y'all remember when word leaked during the 2012 election that Herman Cain settled some sexual harassment suits and the next day his campaign was over? How did so much change between then and now? We elected a sexual predator and a dude who beat up a reporter. Where did the integrity go? WTF is wrong with people?

Early polling did help him win. Had many not already voted for him before the assault the end result may of been different. That being said, there are many people who continue to defened him. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done. Either way, it still speaks volumes of how our society is at the moment.

It will be interesting to see if he can hold it together. Once he's in office, it won't be one reporter at a time, there will be half a dozen or more. And if he holds a town hall, can he deal with angry constituents?

My aunt is asking what "brought him" to this point. Was there security??
I want to "sure, Jan" her into oblivion.

I feel like the incident gave him some name recognition that boosted him. Press, good bad or otherwise gave him a name to voters that were otherwise uninformed..
