Any UO's or confessions this week?

I would describe myself as a Disney Adult. I love Disney: have dresses, tattoos, hell my wedding was Disney themed. But even i find it weird when people become so obsessed with something (s celebrity, a show, whatever) that they lose all reality. Sending death threats online to reality tv show people or becoming so invested in a celerity relationship is too much!

There was a TikTok where a teacher confessed that she didn't realize that Louis Vuitton is not the same thing as Louboutin.
So that's what I learned on TikTok this week....

I like music festivals. Unpopular with my friends based on when I dragged them to one for my 40th birthday and they all complained and we left way earlier than I wanted to.
I think I need new friends. I just bought four tickets to a music festival (only one day though) so I need to at least find two new friends.

I'm not a concert or festival person. I'm taking DD to her first concert in May (on Mother's Day no less) to see Melanie Martinez and i'm already dreading it a little. Excited for her excitement though.

I’m considering taking my 12 year old to bonnaroo this year. He loves both camping and concerts, and we know a few families going to camp in the family zone. If it’s too much and we have to leave we live near enough that we could commute in each day instead. It would just be the two of us going, H would stay home with the toddler.

This sounds like so much fun! My kiddo is not too into concerts but if he was, this would be a dream.

I’ve taken my boys to a few festivals and concerts to see H, and DS has always LOVED them. I think he’s ready but am nervous he’ll get overwhelmed with the heat/noise over several days.

A concert is what we're going to do Valentine's. Hot 15 years ago...Portugal, The Man. We both enjoy them, so I'm excited for the fun! I also booked accessible seats. I'm hoping that little bit extra support will help me.

I love concerts/live music so much, it's my favorite thing to spend money on. However, I'm not sure I could do a multi-day festival unless I was staying at a hotel or glamping or something. I'm just not the type who can rough it. I have so many concerts lined up this summer and I can't wait. We go to all of them with our neighbors and some of their friends and it's a blast.

There are a couple performers from each of the other days I am bummed to miss. But Pearl Jam was my focus and I just couldn’t commit to all 3 days.

Oh I have kind of a funny one.
I went to a comedy show last week and I had a couple of edibles in my purse not concealed at all. We were in a rush and I just opened my bag for the guy checking and they were right there on top. We locked eyes and I just kind of gave him a “your move” look. It was only two so if I had to throw them away I wasn’t going to make a stink. And I have no idea what the policy is but typically even though I’m in a legal state, they are not allowed. He just nodded and passed my bag back to me.

I'm going on a trip with my siblings next weekend and we'll be seeing a Fleetwood Mac cover band. That's pretty close to seeing Stevie Nicks, right? And speaking of edibles - our hotel is near a dispensary, and I am debating if that's something I should try out since it will be a kid free vacation. I guess I'll have to google it (not on my work computer) I can't bring them on the plane home though, right?

Netflix is coming out with a crime docuseries on a crime that happened in my town. It was a pretty big deal. Part of me wants to watch it, but then another part of me doesn't because i feel like i might get annoyed if stuff is wrong/obviously biased. (plus i hate when people/tv pronounce the name of my town wrong lol)

Well, so right after I asked you about that one, PJ was announced as the headliner at the festival an hour away from me. So I’m going there instead. But am I completely counting out the one in Portugal? The answer is no.

Because air travel is federal and it’s not legal federally. Logistically and illegally is another story. So I’ve heard.

I am past my music festival phase of life. A show for an act I love? Sure. A whole festival? No thank you.

I think trying to fly with edibles is stupid as hell. Or any federally illegal drug.
UO, probably.

I think trying to fly with edibles is stupid as hell. Or any federally illegal drug. UO, probably. I did this once, because I wanted to bring some back from a bag that I spent so much on (it was the smallest amount they had) and didn't want to throw the money in the trash. I went to a candy store and got one of those fillable bags with gummies that exactly matched the ones I had and then put my edibles in the bag. I was a ball of nerves the whole flight and it was definitely not worth the anxiety. I don't know why I was being so stubborn, I'm also that person waiting in the TSA line wondering if somehow in the last 5 minutes, cocaine has spontaneously appeared into my carry on.

Every time I go through TSA my lizard brain suddenly panics that maybe I mistakenly packed my explosives in my carry on this time.
Spoiler alert: I do not own nor know where to find explosives.
