My children decided it would be a good idea to play with thinking putty in the bath. And got it in DD2's hair. And then didn't want to get into trouble and tried to brush it out. So it was completely matted up in there ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Googling told me rubbing alcohol so I've been soaking it in that and combed it all out. She washed her hair but it still feels gross and looks greasy and sticky. I sprayed with alcohol again and she's using my clarifying shampoo now so I'm really hoping that helps. Not sure what to try next if this doesn't work.

Thereโs chatter about schools being closed tomorrow due to the storm and Iโm trying to manifest a normal school day by packing lunch and snack. This has never worked in the past. ๐ญ

DH left this morning to go out of town for work. We now have a lot of snow. Iโm trying to figure out if I 1- try to figure out how to use the snow blower, 2- shovel, or 3 - hope that the neighbor decides he wants to do my drive too as he heads to the neighbor on my other side. Iโm probably going with 2 or 3

This has never worked in the past. ๐ญ A local district closed earlier due to power outages and flooding. I prepped for breakfast and lunch thinking itโs too late at night for our district to call it. 10 minutes later the email came that we are closed. And there is already drama/fighting in the fb pages. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

DS had a delayed opening today but we made out ok at the house; kept power, no big limbs or trees down, and the roads are clear. I am really thankful. Heard some chainsaws going in the neighborhood this morning and my neighbor had a downed phone line but that was about it.
I hope everyone's kids go to school!

I mentioned earlier in the school year how DS was having some separation anxiety at drop-off. It's been getting better as the weather got colder because he wanted to get into the warm school. This morning he asked to go through car line for the first time, and he jumped out like he'd been doing it all year! Just got out and waved bye!
The one and only time we tried car line earlier in the year he slid down into the floorboards and cried until I circled the school and parked. So we've come a long way!!

IIRC like dissolves like? if itโs still a problem try loading it up with conditioner, brush/comb it through to ensure itโs distributed, let it set for a bit and then wash out. Repeat until the slime is out.

I came back to work after two days out with the flu and, given how the morning has gone, I should have just stayed home one more day.

Yesterday I had one kid home sick and today the other 2 are home sick. I am nervous about myself getting sick bc I am supposed to go to Ruchmond and have meetings in the capitol all day tomorrow.

I just love getting yelled at by clients about things over which I have no control.
Said no one ever.

A second person from our Christmas dinner on Saturday just tested positive. We had all tested prior to dinner so I was hoping that meant patient zero wasn't contagious but, alas.
Now I have everything crossed that we make it to DS's competition on Saturday.

The weather here was insane. Hurricane force winds. So many road closures. Causeways flooded over and in some cases parts washed out. Major flooding. It has calmed down now but it was wild. We were using snow plows to move trees.

I normally have a big jug of it but randomly was out. I just picked up a new bottle so I'm going to try that after school. And then I'll try conditioner like trueblue suggested. It's better than it was but still looks really really greasy. She's rocking a ponytail today to try to hide it ๐ฌ

Spoiler alert, was not actually a super idea. I can't even remember how many times we had to wash my hair with Dawn before it was clean enough to live with.
