DD2 is five and always loved to help in the kitchen. However in the last month or so all she wants to do is help cook. I got the skinny taste cookbook and she LOVES it. She especially loves the pictures of the ingredients to the side of the recipe.
Are there any good easy kid cookbooks you would recommend? Definitely something with lots of visuals and recipes where we have most ingredients in the house. So aren’t scrambling.

Oh! This is so timely.
All my 7 year old wants to do is bake. I was looking for a cookbook like you describes for that!

I got DS this when he was 5. It’s great. Pics of ingredients on recipes too.
My First Cookbook: Fun recipes to cook together . . . with as much mixing, rolling, scrunching, and squishing as possible! (America's Test Kitchen Kids)
Eta: I don’t know why it won’t link, but it’s easy to find.

Oh! This is so timely. All my 7 year old wants to do is bake. I was looking for a cookbook like you describes for that! Tonight DD2 helped make fried shrimp. She deveined the shrimp, cracked the eggs, dipped the shrimp in breadcrumbs and eggs. The only she didn't do was put in on the stove and physically cook it. Two nights ago she made the Pastina soup from skinny taste simple cookbook. She just started watching all the kids baking shows too.

My kids love to cook. The Disney princess one was a favorite of my DD’s at that age. We still make some recipes from it. We also have Cooking Class and Baking Class. They are both great and have tons of color photographs if she likes pictures.

We also have the Disney princess cookbook! Also, hardly made anything from it, but DD just loved it.
All of the American girl cookbooks are actually really good, although not necessarily easy at all. Some of the recipes are pretty complicated. They did them in some kind of partnership with William Sonoma.
