Gym session today was 🔥🔥🤩
I’m closing in on getting to use the 45 plates for deadlift and I don’t care if it’s silly, i’ll feel like a BAMF when that day comes.

We finally made it to the end of January! And it's my 45th bday. I told my kids if I wasn't over the hill, I was getting close. I don't know that I look better than I did at 25 or even 35, but I'm stronger and I actually think I have less cellulite! Totally wish we knew the benefits of strength training back in the day. I started with 6am spin (at the gym. I haven't been to that class in forever and it was great; I committed to going weekly) and 6:30am body pump. I got ready to do 5 min of core to join cnf 's streak and my daughter called saying her ride to school hadn't shown and I had to bolt. Committing to at least 5 min of core daily in Feb! Sunday's will be hard bc I usually take a total rest day but of course I can squeeze in 5-10-15 min of core. Eating- meh, it's my bday! So far so good but I'll probably derail for dinner Hooray for making it to the end of the month!!

Happy Birthday, soiree! I am with you about being stronger now than in my 20s as I was all about the cardio back then. And hopefully, my 80-year-old self will thank me for that, especially my bones.

Lunchtime workout:
- 15 min 70s Ride with Denis (It was a nice way to warm up beforehand and I am liking doing cardio before strength) - 20 min TSY2 Full Body Strength with Ben - 10 min TSY2 Full Body Stretch with Ben

The new one's a musical!? It’s based on the musical. It opened on Broadway in fall of 2019 and got interrupted by Covid. It never came back after Covid. So Tina Fey said they wanted to use the songs and work they put into it in a new format. Apparently it’s a cross between because some of the songs were changed, etc. There’s actually a hilarious part where Tina Fey goes to belt it out and then just stops and actually talks. It’s cute. But yeah, I know musical movies can be cringey to some people so thought I would mention it. The new Wonka movie was more musical than I expected it to be. But I enjoyed it. I saw the musical last year here for my bday- maybe it just didn’t reopen on Broadway itself? Regardless, I really enjoyed that. I want to see the movie. I need to figure out how to make that happen!

Oh yeah, it never reopened on broadway and did limited touring. It was projected to be much bigger and run longer than it did if there wouldn’t have been interrupted by Covid. Obviously no one knows for sure, but that’s what Tina was referencing.

I thought I checked in here yesterday, but apparently I didn’t!
I did a 5 am OTF yesterday, and H and I took a long walk to the park today with DS today to take advantage of the sun before it rains for a week.

Y’all, Adrian was here at the MOA (watch the video on pelotons IG - he’s with Callie and Chelsea) today. Mere miles away. I’m so sad I couldn’t stalk him.

No run today but I did a lot of organizing at home tonight so mentally I’m in a much better place since the clutter has been stressing me out. Planning to run tomorrow while my boys are at soccer and maybe some strength during lunch if my class cooperates.
Food was on plan today, I even have macros left for some ice cream.

It looks like the live classes were set up right in the middle of mall. You can see people on the upper levels watching over the railings. You'll have to take the on demand classes and pretend like you went.

I'm not sure what a human-maker is and not sure I ever want to find out. It sounds very NSFW. It does sound sexier than it is. I always assumed they were called man-makers and Peloton renamed them human-makers. Either way it's not sexy it's like a harder, weighted version of burpees.

I’m very sad I didn’t know lol.

Hello! No run for me today but I did do W1D2 of Beginner Strength. I’m enjoying it. It’s not too easy, I’m still getting a good sweat on, but I think it will end up really helping with form as we move on through the weeks. I also finished Crush Your Core! Again with the damn plank variations. My shoulders just can’t (yet). Any advice on where to go from here for core? Should I repeat CYC until I can do all these moves? Should I move on to CYC2? Straight to the Core? I know I could just do random core classes but programs motivate me more. Help!

I have been on the struggle bus lately, but I've had two good days vis a vis eating. I did a 20 minute morning yoga with Dennis today, and it was really nice.
