jaygee , you did your best that's all that matters. also, what movie did you see? Mean girls It was super cute. But it’s very musical. So just know that if you are going to watch it. I saw it a couple of weeks ago.
About 5 mins into the movie, i leaned over to my sister and said, is this a musical?
lol. I like it, they did a great job with it!

Strong morning. 45 minute yoga/pilates with a 10 lb mace 4 mile (quick) walk w/ neighbor 10 min core with Ben 5 min stretching with Ben I wish I could put the effort into food tracking/meal planning that I do in my workouts. :/ 1 day left in January!!! Plan to finish strong tomorrow. B- a delicious 2 egg and bacon scramble with a corn tortilla and some blackberries. Also delicious. L,D idk. See above lol. cnf I think you've inspired me! Do you do a 5 min core every single day? RunsforWineandCarbs what's LLM? The lemon berry chia thing sounds great! Lillie likes macros: 15 g chia seeds 22 g old fashioned oats 7 g flax meal 1/2 lemon juiced lemon zest 30 g vanilla protein powder 70 g frozen berries 1 cup nut milk (I use oat milk or whatever I have on hand) Mix together and put in fridge overnight.

So I started the next level running program today… aaand promptly had to do a 30 min threshold test 🥵 2.7 miles with avg hr 180. Of course this was on a treadmill at zero incline. But yeah. I’m tired. lol thanks for the encouragement sewfi2. Another perk is I get to buy new trail running shoes as I have none! 😆

I was off today so fit in a long run. 60 min for just over 9km (5 miles-ish). Was just looking back at my last long run and it was 8km in the same time so yay! Effort felt a lot easier too.

I plan to shoot for all 366 days. Most days I do 5 minutes, but I've done a few 10 minute classes. Emma has a 10 minute core benchmark class. It's actually from CYC2 but it's accessible on the in demand library separate from the program too, if you want a starting point.

I rode with the Hannahs today. 5 minute warm-up with Hannah C. 30 minute low-impact with Hannah F. 5 minute cooldown with Hannah C.
As long as I get in 11 miles tomorrow, I should hit 300!

B: Ate out with a colleague. I had potato pancakes and eggs S: I caved and got a couple of donuts from a shop that was near Target when I had to make a stop L: Still pretty full, so I may just have a larabar again D: Roasted cauliflower and chicken thighs S: Dried mango slices

cnf, a core class every day is amazing! I think I am going to try that for February. (Not committing for the rest of the year just yet though!)

I'm feeling optimistic about running and just gave all my money to NYRR for races between April and October. Hoping this was not a bad move.

The new one's a musical!? It’s based on the musical. It opened on Broadway in fall of 2019 and got interrupted by Covid. It never came back after Covid. So Tina Fey said they wanted to use the songs and work they put into it in a new format. Apparently it’s a cross between because some of the songs were changed, etc. There’s actually a hilarious part where Tina Fey goes to belt it out and then just stops and actually talks. It’s cute. But yeah, I know musical movies can be cringey to some people so thought I would mention it. The new Wonka movie was more musical than I expected it to be. But I enjoyed it.

Did I check in yesterday? Idk. I did 3 miles and my peloton stack lol. Today I did 4 miles. One mile warmup in zone 2, two miles tempo, one mile cooldown. I was aiming for 10 minute miles for my tempo pace but I don’t look at my watch when I run so I just went off of feel and aimed for comfortably hard. Ended up with 10:30 as my pace. I’m happy with that though because I was right at 85% of my max heart rate. I also did my usual peloton stack. CYC killed me today with 5 minutes of plank variations. Fuck off, Emma 🤣

Forty minutes for just shy of 4 miles, plus a five minute stretch. I broke 50 running miles for January! My goal was 40, so I’m feeling great.

Hello!
I was just not feeling it today. I was super sore from density yesterday and also dealing with the second cold I've gotten this month! (or really one long cold, IDK, but there was a break for a little bit. WTF, body). I did a 20 min full body with Rebecca, a 10 min Pilates, 5 min core with Robin, and a 10 min stretch.
B - blueberry waffle, turkey bacon L - chicken wrap + pretzels D - Asian wonton shrimp nachos S - frozen banana with PB

Popping back in after a fairly rough few weeks. I'm pretty sure I had Covid (home tests were unclear so I followed protocols to be safe), and although it was milder than the first time, I was barely functioning for a week and I'm still dealing with fatigue and vertigo. BUT I didn't have any lung involvement (ALLLL sinuses) this time around which was a huge relief since that would have set me way back. Today I felt well enough that I hopped on a 15 min ride and it felt pretty good! Hoping to get an easy walk/run in tomorrow to try to get back into running. I feel like I'm eternally stuck in this cycle, but hopeful that I'll break out of it someday.
Food has been pretty in-check this month, I'm down a few pounds overall and trying to really keep tracking and sticking to my macros. I do really well during the week but our weekend life leads us to eating out a lot/eating conveniently so I'm still trying to figure out a better balance there.

budders I hope you feel better soon. Even if it wasn’t Covid, there is something nasty going around - it knocked out my whole house last week and two of the four of us still have a lingering cough. But Covid is going around again, too, so who knows.

Jess Sims’ most recent 45 minute full body strength is a beast. She ends with an 8 minute EMOM in which the B minute is 5 human-makers! It’s hard to do 5 human-makers in one minute!

I'm sorry you've been dealing with being sick again budders. The fact that you always jump back into things while listening to your body is pretty inspiring too. I hope you feel better and get a looooong stretch of no sicknesses.

Morning.
Slept like shit, but I really needed to get a ride in today, so I peeled myself up. I also added cymbalta to my anxiety med cocktail yesterday. I'm on the highest dose of Wellbutrin and my crazy has been slipping out of check more and more lately. I took it at night since I saw a lot of chatter about it making people sleepy, so I'm hoping that's a factor in how tired I feel and the headache I'm rocking.
Anyways, I did things.
45 minute PZE ride with Wilpers Extra 10 ride with Cody 5 minute core with Emma 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga tonight, probably.
Food should be fine. I have salad today for lunch

5 minute warmup ride with Sam Yo and a 30 minute PZ with Denis. The PZ structure was warmup and then 2 minutes in Zone 5, 2 minutes recovery in 1, 5 times. It was the perfect amount of tough.
I had a cooldown ride stacked, but those took me to exactly 300 miles, and I’m at 597 rides, so I decided to save the ride so I’ll have two before Saturday.
Also, I was laughing during the ride because my cousin and I had been discussing the different instructors and he was like, “Denis has great music and rides, but under no circumstances would I ever want to hang out with him. He has crazy eyes.” And now that’s all I can think about when I take a Denis ride.

Guess who got up for the first time all week and got in a morning workout? This girl!
The struggle is so real right now. I can’t put my finger on why I’ve been having issues lately but I think it can be summed up as too much shit going on all at once. Anyways, yesterday ended up being an unintentional rest day. I was very stressy and upsetty as Camilla would say.
This morning was;
20 min pick me up ride with Hannah C 20 min full body strength with Ben (TSY2 w2d2) 10 min full body stretch with Ben
Glad I got something in. Feels good to end the month on a better note. I’m going out tonight so definitely no morning workout tomorrow.

I'm working from home today because I am getting sick (congestion and cough) and don't want to expose any of my coworkers. I managed to get in a short trail run with the dog, so that feels good at least.
B: Coffee w coconut milk, bowl of stuff - cauliflower mash, chorizo, eggs, mushrooms, avocado L: veggies w dip, salami topped with humus and almonds D: Not sure yet
