They wanted to keep it private. |

Rabia & Ellyn Solve the Case did Laci Peterson as their first episode and it was really interesting. I do think that there is enough reasonable doubt that he shouldn't have been convicted.
ETA: I don't remember the circumstances that lead to that, it's been at yearish since I listened, but do remember it making me really rethink everything we previously knew/thought.

I read the article and realized I don't actually know that much about it at all I need to go read it. Like, don't get me wrong, I do think that Scott is a shitty AF person as a whole and his entire day is shady, but again, reasonable doubt. If you podcast, R&EStC was really good about it. And it doesn't fully say if it's a possibility that he might have paid someone else to do it. That crossed my mind as well. But I guess that would be a different charge. I didn't realize he got the death penalty-- that has been dismissed according to the article. The death penalty part seems wild without solid evidence! I think he has dead eyes in his recent picture though |

I saw a doc about the laci Peterson case last year and it really put some doubt about his guilt or at least his conviction.
It was shocking as I was so certain he was guilty but realized I was basing that solely on media coverage. There's so much reasonable doubt and because he was a crappy husband I think we really want him to be guilty. And maybe he is, but based on the case presented, it doesn't really pass the sniff test. The Nancy Grace effect got him on that one I think.

I don't think I will ever be convinced that Scott Peterson didn't kill his wife. I have watched so many specials on it and I understand from a legal standpoint it's trickier, but man. This mofo was cooing on the phone to his mistress saying he was at a party in Paris when he was actually at a candlelight vigil for his missing wife.

They’re not associated. |

But I admit I’m biased because I was insatiable for the case the entire time it was going down in real time. So I just feel too close to it.
