November 13, 2023 I am actually shocked they ended up marrying. The bride, who peaked at probably A- list, probably went through with it because she would have been embarrassed to cancel at the last minute, or maybe she really thought she could change the mind of of the foreign born former A+ list comic actor who became her husband. They fought so much leading up to their wedding that none of their closest friends thought they would go through with it. They had a massive fight the morning of their wedding. They had huge fights over the prenup. She wanted much more money than he was willing to give and he told her take it or leave it. He would call her from the beds of other women and tell her they would take the deal, so she should too. For the year they were married he made her life a living hell. The only reason he even started dating her in the first place is because an actor he hated had shown interest in her so he went after her. Her career was never the same after their marriage. Our actor still has A+ list name recognition, but no one really likes him. Lauren Holly/Jim Carrey Wow, that is some 90s gossip that I had completely forgotten about. I could believe that about 90s Jim Carrey. |

The barely there celebrity mom of a barely there celebrity tried her hardest for a year to make people believe her daughter was dating the A+/A list mostly movie actor. No one believed it. Now, she is still trying to get people to believe her daughter is dating the thirsty A list actor who wants Oscar badly. That isn't happening either. There was a chance she was going to be his award season plus one, but she blew it. Mom keeps hoping though for a second chance so keeps leaking to tabloids.

Lol I just googled "Jeremy Allen White, Gene Wilder" and there are multiple articles clarifying that they are not related. So I guess we aren't alone. |

Maybe this is why I'm so irked. The AAPI comic is getting the sacrificial lamb treatment because of misogynistic jokes (which are bad!) When the org and the room has barely squared with their racism. And misogyny. Especially since he hasn’t made any jokes many others have made and yet he is the step to far. Is “too far” the complaint? My take was that they were just no good and they missed the mark, not that they were inordinately offensive. |

They are calling for him to be canceled. While I know it won’t happen because I’m sure his fan base is not her fan base but I think it’s a ridiculous to even have it go there. I do think I’m Hollywood you have to joke at yourself or be ready for others to joke about you if you are the hot topic. I do think if a woman had made that same joke it wouldn’t have landed the same way by people especially since he didn’t attack her personally. I get it I do but literally every time something is seen as a little bit cringe or criticism towards her it’s misogynistic when in my mind it just wasn’t that funny. It’s more her fans then even her at this point but I also feel that she knows what to do to set her fans off |

I'm not familiar with Joe Koy's routine, I had never even heard of him until he dated Chelsea Handler (she's an asshole too).
I've heard multiple takes on his comedy, apparently it's very specific and he relies heavily on Asian accents. You take away the accent, and his jokes aren't funny.
This is just what I've seen on socials.

Honestly, comedy is in a weird place right now. You have to walk a fine line because every single person has a different line of what they will be okay with. Some people are better at laughing at themselves than others. Flip side of that is that many comedians think that they are roastmasters, when they are really being cruel and unfunny. I don't think comedy, as a whole, has caught up with the changes in society. There are a few that are doing it well, but the old standby of award show comedians was making fun of the actors and actresses and they are fumbling trying to find what replaces that. Heather McMahan should host everything. |

This is just what I've seen on socials. *Jo not Joe. I think Asian comedians can do that, bc it’s them. They’re making fun of themselves and their families. And I think he has his niche of comedy because of his Asian background and maybe the jokes are specific but anyone who is a part of that niche / culture usually does finds them funny. Hell even I find them pretty funny as someone whose many close friends are all Filipino and 90% of my coworkers are. After 10+ years of working with these people I know a lot about their culture and get a lot of his jokes. And I crack up bc “omg that’s totally Tita Elisa” or “yep that’s just like Ate Hazel.” So 🤷🏻♀️ |

Yes, I just watched a TikTok of a comedian talking about how he bombed and he has a ton of avenues he really excels at but this was not one of them. That’s what I keep seeing, that he just wasn’t that funny and then he drew attention to it with the “I only got this job a week ago”. |

Kevin Hart's ex-wife is reportedly going to tour with Katt Williams. Eta this reminds me of when friends divorced years ago and the wife started a blog where she spilled it all. I’ve never seen her act but the radio station that I listen to is promoting a show and said she is pretty funny and roasts Kevin a lot. This along with the Katt Williams interview where he talks a lot about Kevin and other comedians is making me giggle for some reason |

She is shown incessantly on every Chiefs broadcast with her various jacket/sweatshirt/Trav friendship bracelet combo and Brittany Mahomes hanging on her for dear life. This shit comes with the territory, idk what to tell her. Lots of famous couples are the subject of jokes at these events. |

The joke was way too easy. It’s been said a hundred times, but it was just a dumb joke that’s been made. I think she would have laughed if it was a “oh damn!” joke and the opportunity was there. She’s topical. I don’t think she’s been at an awards show since the NFL buzz. There was an opportunity to make any joke in the world about it and you went with that?
Again, I just don’t see the controversy. She didn’t slap him. She didn’t walk out. She just … didn’t laugh at a not funny joke about herself? I feel like some (general some) are eating crackers and looking for a controversy where there wasn’t one.
