I thought you meant old job, like former employer before this WFH one. I get the sense from friends locally that employers are gearing up to push back on full time WFH. Which is a bummer for a lot of working parents. I can see this although I haven’t had a small number of places to apply to but sadly since you can work anywhere I’m up against a lot of people. The area I was in was moving to remote only so that’s why I was hoping to stay there. It’s why I’ll probably end up taking it. I’m not sure what you are looking to do..but my company I’m leaving and the one I’m going to both have a lot of WFH jobs. It’s in health insurance. I’ve WFH since 2016. sudsy, I hope it's just a fibroid. In full disclosure, after my own long history of issues in that area and a tumor last year, I honestly welcomed my hysterectomy with open arms. If you need an ear from someone with a similar experience, I'm always glad to chat. Thank you. I’m debating in my head how to proceed if this is a giant fibroid again. Part of me wants to just get the hysterectomy over with because I know it’ll be inevitable in the long run. None of my female family members have had their uterus past the age of about 50. We’re tumor factories. |

If someone tells me there is COVID in their home and they also say they don't feel well, I am going to assume they are coming down with something, illness at minimum but maybe COVID. So to say, I hope you don't get it makes my head tilt. Just saying. I’d pretty much rather have anything other than Covid. So while I hope she feels better and doesn’t have a cold or anything, my main wish for her is that she doesn’t have Covid. 🤷🏻♀️ |

So to say, I hope you don't get it makes my head tilt. Just saying. I’m willing it into existence. I’ve felt kind of strange since Saturday so hoping it’s unrelated. I’ve tested myself twice—once on Sunday bc I always test before teaching Sunday school to people in their 80s if I even feel a hair out of place, and once this afternoon. It feels like my allergic asthma. Time will tell but now I’m isolating anyway. I haven’t ever had covid and kind of want to have that super power. I have a theory that the novavax vaccine combined with the mRNA vaccines actually makes you immune because almost everyone in the study did not get covid. My H thinks there’s a genetic resistance that runs in my family bc my 99 year old grandma has never had it despite her live in caregivers (my aunt and uncle) having had it twice while bathing, dressing, etc. I’m sure that’s more than any of you wanted to know about my covid story but I’m alone and bored. |

I didn’t get the job I interviewed for last week. And now I have a meeting in San Diego Friday with the whole group that was my panel.
I’m crushed, because $$ and just rejection in general.
My boss knows I’m shopping and poor, so we’re working on reclassifying my position and we’re losing a part-time Faculty and so she’s going to try and replace it with a Full time…both of which would be a raise for me…Faculty obviously preferred. I am not going to convince H to move anywhere we can afford in my industry, so…I’m still shopping for remote positions or making this gig work for me.
I’m going to wallow tonight and then pull it together.

Why do kids sizes go from 8 to 10/12? We are getting ready to go out of town and my kid has barely any pants that fit. I need a few pairs quickly and tried Target, but he is between the two sizes. It’s so annoying. It was easier with my DD because she basically only wore leggings at that age and I feel like there wasn’t as much of a size difference.

My boss of 2 months at my new job left last week and I’m not sure what I’m responsible for and am feeling discombobulated. That would be difficult. At least I’m familiar with the people and things. I’m just like wow - I didn’t know she did all this stuff. Mostly weird admin stuff - approvals and what not. I hope things settle down for both of you soon! |

A couple of things - I would take the job angelashly (in this economy) also based on your posts, you want to be fully remote and there isn't a lot of promising leads in your area. That being said there are WFH jobs in other industries and in other states. You can take your time and maybe apply or look for one. You can still look for something in your area. You know how to do this, I don't need to tell you. This is my plan. I have put so many applications in but if LinkedIn is telling the truth I’m literally up against a 100 people in most jobs. |

I was really looking forward to leftover chicken pot pie for lunch today - it was going to be the highlight of coming into the office.
So of course, my daughter had it for breakfast.
