My kids were such good kids until they were influenced by Ken and his gang of Kens down a dark path of brewskis.

Iām so happy SS is 17 and I donāt have to deal with coparenting crap like this anymore. I promise it gets better. Have fun! Haha thanks! She said it had "gratuitous drinking and talk of poor body image and death." The girls are going into 3rd and 4th grades, give me a break lol Anyway, they loved it and thought it was hilarious Well technically in Barbie world there's no liquid so those brewski beers were just empty bottles š

I loved it!!! I would see it again. I'm definitely buying it on DVD. I cried several times but mostly during America's monologue and the mental montage that Barbie sees near the end. š

One crew member said he had submitted a video of his friend who had passed away and he didn't know it had been picked until he saw it in the movie š

I FINALLY saw it!! I loved it and want to see it 10 more times. In the first part when she drives off in the car and the indigo girls song came on I missed my mom so badly. I wanted to watch it with her.
I did the Barbie ride on peloton this morning to get in the vibe and it was fun that I had heard a couple of the songs in that and then when they came on in the movie I was like āperfectionā.
The casting is so amazing. And every detail is perfect.

One of my friends couldnāt go because she left for vacation today and asked in the group chat if it was kid friendly. I didnāt answer because my sensibilities around that are usually different than most. Another friend said she thought it was but did point out the drinking. I was laughing because I didnāt even notice that and I donāt even drink. It was like nothing compared to what my kid sees in real life with other parents.

We just got back and she absolutely loved it and it didn't matter that there were things she didn't get. I'm happy to hear this. I am taking my 9.5 and 8 year old stepdaughters and their bio mom is throwing an absolute fit because it's "not appropriate". (Yes, she saw it. This is the same woman who introduced them to Top Gun Maverick, so I'm pretty sure the issue is that I am taking them lol) I would show both movies to my 10 year old but Top Gun Maverick is more inappropriate. I know you know that, but just saying.

My kids see me drink alcohol more than what was portrayed in that movie. LOL.

Anyway, I loved it! It was so much more than what I thought it was going to be. I thought the ending dragged just a teeny tiny bit but I still was thoroughly entertained. I need a I Am Kenough shirt.

I want that shirt so much. Vans did a colab and the sweatshirt is so cute but sold out within minutes.

I'm seriously considering buying matching ones for me and my kiddo, even though I bet the smallest size would still be huge on her. Worth it though!

I had all four girls with me so ages 5-11 and I thought it was fine for all of them. Damn. Being a woman and a mom is tough. I wouldnāt have taken the 5 year old on her own but to tag along with her sisters it was no big deal. I donāt think she got most of it, she was just in love with all of the imagery.

I don't know if anyone here is on FundieSnarkUncensored on Reddit but all the fundies going to see the movie just to make a video reviewing it is hilarious to me. They're getting dressed up to go see it and everything. And you know, paying money to see it. So they 'hate it' obviously but buying tickets š. And the women at least are enjoying the movie. Probably the guys too. Dumbasses.

Watching that movie as a mom of girls really hit a specific way with me. I actually didnāt tear up during Americaās monologue, but I did tear up during the scenes where she was playing Barbies with her daughter. I specially bc my oldest is entering into the preteen years soon, and this is probably the last year she will be a ālittleā kid.

Saw it last night and it lived up to the hype. DD asked why I got teary during Gloria's monologue and that led to an awesome talk.
I also think it has a great message for little boys that I hope does not get lost in the larger picture.
Greta G deserves a mountain of praise and Ryan Gosling, Margot Robvie, and America Ferrara knocked it out of the park.

We packed up all my DD's American Girl stuff recently after her not having played with them for a long time and that scene hurt.

Finally saw it and today and absolutely loved it! I had heard such good reviews, so I had high hopes and it delivered. My DD just turned 13, so she is old enough to understand most of it, which made it fun to see with her. The audience in our theatre cheered after America Ferreraās speech, which was pretty fun, too.

She did play with her lol doll when we got it out but sigh last Christmas I was able to still throw in some ātoysā I think this year it wonāt happen
