Yes! Like I get it traveling with kids is hard I’m not discounting that but that doesn’t mean you aren’t responsible for their messes Plus why couldn't the 5 year old help/do it?? (I'm 99% sure one of the kids was 5) A kindergartener surely knows how to pick up some popcorn... Or the husband. I’m pretty sure I saw somewhere that he was with them. |

I heard from my friends that he is topless for a lot of his concerts. I guess it’s just a known thing that moms take kids to their shows so the music and I guess his inspirational chats are for the kids and the body flexing is for the moms. |

The popcorn thing has me so confused and I keep seeing it everywhere Her kid spilled a bunch of popcorn and she was asked to clean it up and because she's pregnant her husband is pissed about it? Is there more to the story? Glad I am not alone. I feel like I have to be missing something. And then the comments about how “nobody expects you to pick up after your child in a restaurant so why is it expected on an airplane?” Wait what? If my 3 year old is dropping shit in the floor on a plane, in a restaurant, movie theater, etc…, I am picking it up. I’m sure I miss some here and there but it would never occur to me to not pick up after my kid. |

Same. I am 3 episodes in and really liking it. Ali Wong and Steven Yuen are fantastic. I just don’t think I can stare at that motherfucker’s face. Agreed, it's good. I already thought he was gross and was sick of seeing him but now I honestly might vomit if I watch more of him. Quoting myself. Episode 6. He IS pretty much his character. Please go away now. |

I am team clean up reasonably after your kids, but I have thoughts, after not reading the last couple pages:
1. I don’t think asking a pregnant woman (or anyone really) to get down in hands and knees in a cramped space to pick up popcorn kernels by hand is very reasonable. I hate when my kids drop toys because I can barely maneuver myself between the seats to get down there and clean them up. Sure, maybe the kids could have helped.
2. I am almost positive that the flight attendants wouldn’t have made as big of a deal if an adult dropped some crumbs with the in flight snack
3. People drop crumbs of all kinds and worse and I have never seen a flight attendant ask them to clean up piece by piece
4. I have also never seen popcorn given as the in flight snack, but it could just be the airlines I have flown don’t serve it.
5. A cleaning crew is just going to go through and vacuum everything afterward anyway- at least I hope so
6. I have been seeing the phrase circulating (not here) that “pregnancy isn’t a disability” which first of all, fuck off. Maybe it is not in its own, but can be debilitating. At 22 weeks with my third, I was still incredibly nauseous, so I would have been dry heaving on that airplane floor while they watched me try to pick up popcorn. No, I wouldn’t have voluntarily flown alone with my two young kids, but I don’t know the circumstances of their flight.
7. This was actually my first thought- popcorn is a choking hazard till 4 years old anyway so that 2 year old prob shouldn’t have been eating it, lol (full disclosure my kids had a little popcorn before 4, so not judging)

We fly with our kids a ton. I don’t get on my hands and knees, but I pick up every snack I see, clean out seat backs, wipe down seats. Every time, when deplaning, I’m blown away by how people leave airplane seats. I feel like in the past year, it’s gotten completely out of control. And not just kids, grown adults just leaving stuff on the floor, leaving trash behind. I feel like if I a FA said something, it must have been a damn mess. Someone in one or my Fb groups was a former FA and said people would leave dirty DIAPERS in the seat pockets. 🤢 wtf is wrong with people |

Trigger warning. The Ryan from Teen Mom arrests get worse. This guy is so dangerous. For those not following the story, he and and his wife separated. He’s not taking it well, has violated her protection order and trashed the marital home at an insane level in what appears to be several hours of drug fueled rage as in under 24 hours to rip cabinet and wreck every belonging bad. He’s been arrested somewhere around 4 times over his wife in the last 4 weeks and he overdosed behind the wheel. This is the video and photos of what he did to his house. Same, but I will say I have been to many restaurants where I have cleaned up off the floor and been instructed by staff not to do that because they will do it. Very true. Many times I am scooting the mess with my foot and heading under the table when a member of the restaurant staff comes running with their broom and pan. It’s just ingrained in me to clean it up. When dining out with the 3 year old I never fully relax and am aware/wondering if she is making too much noise, mess, etc…I assume I will be the same way about airline travel which is a big reason why we haven’t attempted it yet. I understand different circumstances and sometimes you have to. I do feel sympathy for the traveling pregnant woman with young children. But still, the outrage posted to social media combined with this family’s privilege of options…just no. |

Because if you are a pregnant woman traveling with small kids and you apologize if they make a mess and just ask for help, i bet the FA would be kind in response. The FA being shitty and making her clean it up tells me she likely treated them terribly in the first place.

I always bring a trash bag/leftover plastic bag when we fly and just throw all our trash in it that didn't get picked up during the flight in it at the end. It takes about 30 seconds. If I accidentally spill something, or my kids do, I clean it up- pregnant or not. I'll be honest that I kind of assumed this was a universal truth. But I should have known better. Also I find that being considerate of staff/people around you is such an important quality and I really notice when people don't have it. We have a friend by marriage (we are great friends with her husband since university days so we are stuck with her LOL) and she is a total sweetheart to us and her family but is so incredibly rude to people at restaurants/grocery stores/shops/gas stations/anyone she isn't trying to impress basically, and I find it incredibly embarrassing and awful to watch.
I didn't click on any of the links though since I have no idea who any of the people are and could care less. But apparently I do have strong feels about being considerate of others.

1. They are flying planes one right after another many FA and crew have commented that sometimes they have 8 minutes to clean up in between flights and they have other things that are higher priority than the floor. 2. It was literally a handful of popcorn if she couldn’t fit make it a game with the five year old 3. 100% she was probably being an asshole at some point 4. Yes I do believe if an adult was messy and not even attempting to clean up it would be addressed. 5. Again FA make under 40,000 a year and they have to deal with the worst types of people so if I can help in some way by cleaning up something I dropped I’m going to similar to a restaurant 6. But I also agree with Cher a plane is not a restaurant, nor is it a movie theater or hotel |

1. I keep wanting to make this point. We fly a lot. Our past three flights, we have waited for our plane to land, deplane, crew to go through some sort of security (I don’t understand but every time they say there’s some security thing the crew has to do) and the plane to get cleaned. The process between the crew getting off, the plane getting cleaned and us boarding is literally at most ten minutes. And every flight we’ve been on lately, the crew has come around with a trash bag like 60 times at landing and stressed that the plane is going right back out so please throw out all garbage. We know planes are nasty. They’re not coming out and doing a scrub down between flights. These planes are so over-scheduled and delayed as it is. Leaving your shit all over is going to add time to a cleanup and slow down the next flight going out. It seems like a no brainer. If your kid gets stuff on the floor, pick it up. Yeah, being pregnant sucks but I’m guessing if her kid throws food all over her house, she doesn’t leave it there? |
