DD was a little bear this morning. She did not want to get out of bed, then she was all upset because she didn't want to leave. These are the days I have working mom guilt.
It's DH's second to last day of work and his boss and a couple people are taking him out for drinks. He tried to get me invited, but it's an employees only type of deal. I thought about crashing the party, but it's at 3:00, so I probably wouldn't be able to get out of work anyway.

It's DS' last day of playground camp & speech/OT camp since we'll be leaving early tomorrow morning. He's very excited. I told him to be sure to say his goodbyes when he hears that I'm at playground camp to pick him up early since he's emotional like that. LOL he really loves the camp leader so he mentioned all the hugs he's going to be giving to the counselors & his friends. Let's see if he remembers. I feel like I should probably leave a little earlier in case he forgets & then wants to go back because 100% if he forgets, I'm going to have a meltdown on my hands. They typically call him down to the cafeteria when I'm there so it'll be on him to do this on his own. FX!

NamasteBirches, going a little early to remind him is probably a good idea.

DS has his performance tonight. His costume turned out so cute! He's excited to be King Louie.

We got an email last night about soccer. This is the first year that DS will be on an actual team & apparently they have no coach. So they are asking if any moms or dads are willing to take the position. The coach that does instructional (what DS did for 3 years) will be assisting when he can but I guess he can't commit to do it full time. DH wants to do it but I don't want him to. Soccer was our time to sit back & enjoy the hour of seeing him play. Womp womp Also, I brought it up to DS & he said "no way, dad can't be a coach!" but then later he said he wanted him to do it. This kid is the worst. LOL so IDK. It just sucks that if it's not DH, it'll be some other parent that I'm sure will be lame.

I wouldn't want my DH to be DD's coach, but he would love it.

NamasteBirches, my H has already talked about wanting to coach DS' little league/soccer/whatever when we get to that stage, and we're years away from there, lol. But good luck with the decision!

Jilly is back to her normal doggy self today, and we got a third anti-fungal treatment yesterday afternoon, but this morning when DS woke up, his rash was soooooo much better than I've seen it in a long time! So that made me feel about 500 lbs lighter than I have in a while. Meanwhile, H was a grump this morning. He's been swamped at work, so I'm just hoping it's short-lived and he snaps out of it by the weekend.

The problem is more of a how DS will react once it starts vs my issue with it. He behaves better with other adults vs us in these scenarios. Lmao So I'm not sure if he'll like the idea once it's in front of him. He looks forward to having a real 'coach', teacher, counselor, etc. Whatever extra curricular activity he has, he loves those adults so if we're the ones leading, it may be weird for him & he may not cooperate is my fear. So I'm just not sure. The positive is they did say that other 'real' coach who was his coach for 3 years will be there on occasion so maybe that could help with this. I don't know. DH last night was all 'email her back, email her back' lol but I was realistic like we need to talk to DS first. He's kind of a special snowflake, dear, did you forget?

Oh I totally understand that behavior. DD is the exact same way.
