Ugh I got in a little late because H actually made us breakfast this morning. My boss texted me last night to tell me to see him this morning to discuss some meeting. Like can't you just come find me when I'm actually here? I will never understand him.

C has been really off the past few days. He's always been a bit emotional, but holy cow... Crying over everything (and I'm talking legit crying, not tantrum crying). This morning he refused to go to play group. First time ever. I actually checked his temperature, but he's fine.

M and I are about to walk down to the pond so that Sophie can herd the geese that arrived this morning back to hell where they belong. I couldn't fall asleep until 2 last night so extra coffee is on the docket shortly after that.

Aww, poor C danib, I hope it's just a phase for his sake and yours. I'm tired but at least I have my iced coffee. Two coworkers and I are going on a Target run over lunch, so at least there's that and my iced coffee to make my day a little easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My old neighbor knew when her daughter had had something she wasn't supposed to eat because she would become extremely emotional.

dashook how are things going with you? Did you ever have that talk with your H? I did, thanks for asking! It actually went surprisingly well. He seemed to really listen to me. I think he had realized that he'd screwed up so maybe that made him more receptive. Anyway, glad it's over and now to wait and see if anything really changes...

tjanca22 I am jealous of your lunchtime target run. Every time I make an excuse as to why I need to make a target run H is like, we'll come and keep you company. NOOOOOOOO I need alone time to browse things I don't need and buy way more than I set foot in the store for. If you're there you're going to be my voice of reason. But I snuck out last night for an hour for a Starbucks and "perusing" Gap, Carter's, andOld Navy - (there's a plaza about right around the corner with all four establishments - win). Awww danib that's got to be heartbreaking. I was such an emotional/sensitive child (still am)... but I'll say this, my mom and I have such an anazing bond because of it - because she was always there for me to turn to, lean on, cry to, hug. C and H are so lucky to have an amazing momma like you. goldenlove That male coworker of mine (creepy coworker) is like that. No. Dude. Why don't you just stop by my desk. What is wrong with these men? Power trips? But that's awesome you and H got to have breakfast!! dashook Happy Thursday !!

danib, poor C That's heartbreaking. I hope he cheers up soon! MH just called to let me know that his car is all effed up so he turned around on his commute and brought it into the shop. Idk if I ever told you guys about the car drama? *TW--car accident?* MH got in a bad accident in February when his car spun out on black ice on the highway, slammed into a guard rail, and then spun out into the road. Thank GOD the stars aligned and there was no one else on the road because an oncoming car or truck could have ended him. *end TW* Anyway his car was totaled and we needed to get a new one. In the meantime he borrowed an old Camry from his parents that technically "belonged" to his younger sister but she didn't need it at that time because she was away at school. Instead of actually doing jack shit to go car shopping, or listening to any thoughts or advice I had on the subject (such as considering leasing), he eventually decided to buy this POS Camry from them, after which they turned around and bought his sister a brand new one. I have long since released my disgust with him for how he handled the situation and how he let his parents yet again foist something shitty and unwanted on us. But it's back full force today, now that it would appear the steering column is completely shot after we've owned this thing for approximately 3 months.

Morning! Ugh, I also hate geese. They're so messy and kind of mean. GL to your pup sophiegrace. No big plans here today; I think it's supposed to rain so it might be an inside day 😳 We'll probably head out and try to get B a haircut, he's looking a bit wooly. I hate to gripe but I really, really want that stupid truck to show up with the rest of our stuff. Originally they told us tomorrow, now they're saying 'tomorrow or Saturday'. Grrr.

Babies are down for a nap and I'm enjoying my now cold Starbucks. I had to switch office days this week bc I have that meeting (semi annual review) with my manager tomorrow. So I'm home since Tuesday and I'll go in tomorrow instead.
The plus is that my manager is holding meetings at 10 and 10:30 with me and my female coworker, then we have a group meeting at 11 to discuss new policy/procedures. Then he's taking us to lunch and letting us go home for the day. H is going to take a half day also and we're gonna hang out. His mom then comes at 4:30 so we can do our date night - which tomorrow consists of a pre race registration and event ceremony for the CT challenge (cancer fundraising cycling event he's doing) that H is dragging me too. Free alcohol, that's why I'm going.

PW today.
I can barely move my arms today because I am so sore from Orangetheory last night. The kicker is I'm going back tomorrow morning, and Sunday too. I get 4 classes a month with my membership (and they don't carry over) so I'm trying to squeeze them all in since I didn't get to go at all earlier in the month. This should be interesting lol!

dashook Go girl, get it in! We have an OT here and I've considered joining but I usually don't do well with competition and/or people yelling in your face type classes. Unless the instructor is buff and shirtless a la Sophie's H. Is OT like that? I want to push myself but not so much that if I NEED to stop or slow down I can without a problem.

I find Pier One expensive for everything, and I don't know about the stores there but the ones here are soooo overwhelming, cramped aisles and everything displayed too close together, it's awful.

I think they have fun stuff but I agree it's expensive and I can never justify the cost. When I duck in, it's usually to check out any clearance and then leave. Home Goods and World Market are my favorite places.

I would say the competition is mostly against yourself. At least, that's how I feel about it. There are some really fit people in the class but I don't really notice what they're doing. I'm so focused on my own heart rate monitor up on the screen and making sure my heart rate is where I want it to be, and sometimes trying to beat what I've previously done. At least at my studio, the instructors never yell in your face lol! There is one coach there who is more hands-on, like correcting your form and stuff, but none of them call people out for anything. During cardio blocks, they will call out to the class the interval change (e.g., "In 30 seconds we're going to push pace--power walkers your incline will be 6% or higher; runners and joggers, 1% incline but increase your speed by 2 mph over your base pace") and if you don't do exactly what they say, they don't care and they definitely don't say anything, especially if your heart rate is in the right zone. I really like it and I definitely work out harder and push myself there way more than I ever could if I were working out on my own. I would say definitely give it a try at least; I think the first class is free!

But I completely agree about Pier 1... go clearance or go home. But that's my motto for most stores. I'm what they would call "cheap" when it comes to buying most things.

Omg you guys are killing me today 😂 H doesn't yell. But he's very good at finding someone's...idk what to call it...trigger? But honestly sometimes just knowing he has to look at me naked while he's walking around looking like he does is enough to get me through a workout. dashook get it!!! I would make it a huge competition and probably keel over and die if I went to one of those classes. Which really just makes me want to go even more...
