How is it already November, with just about 3 weeks until Thanksgiving?? I feel like 2022 is flying by. What does O17 have planned for Thanksgiving this year? Any new recipes to try out? Anyone traveling?

Our Halloween party ended up having about 50 people attend, which was a lot to manage, but we also had a super fun time. It’s nice to be able to have big parties again, after keeping things pretty low key the last few years. Now it’s on to plan for Thanksgiving. My dad is out here visiting us for 3 weeks, and it’s so wonderful to have him around. Plus - he brought along cans of purée pumpkin, those crispy French’s dehydrated onions that I use for green bean casserole, and some other ingredients for Thanksgiving stuff that we can’t get out here. I think we’re going to try to do an early Thanksgiving before he heads back to the states….but with roasted chicken, since turkeys in this country are hard to come by (and not very tasty). curmudgeon I was looking back at pictures of my boys in their costumes throughout the years, and I also got all up in my feels. They were so little!! |

Man how time has flown! I thought I checked in last week and here it’s been like 3+ weeks. I feel so behind on everything.
Today both boys have thanksgiving lunch, so my parents are going to DS2’s while H and I go with DS1. We had already bought tickets weeks ago or else we’d divide and conquer. I also convinced both kids to wear a turkey shirt to school/prek. I’m surprised they agreed.
We are hosting thanksgiving and I am still getting table setting supplies. 🥴
