DS had side effects from the booster last night, including vomiting. Poor kid was up half the night. He’s fine now, but taking the day off from school to rest.

Minerva, poor kiddo I hope he perks up today! My girls are struggling with fatigue big time. Shot #4 and the first time they've really had side effects. They had shots Friday morning and both said separately this AM that their arms were still sore.

My husband was supposed to get his second Evusheld shot today but rescheduled because he's still feeling pretty sick.

Both kids had shots yesterday, and both fell asleep after dinner on the couch. Time change didn't help, I'm sure, but this shot is the first one that they have really complained about any side effects with. Both complained about their arms being sore this morning, and said they were still tired.

addymac, Oh friend, I'm so sorry about Baby O, sending you love and good thoughts. M has it right now too but obviously not as worrisome as with a little baby. Praying for a swift recovery.

Thanks friends. Turns out he’s “admitted” to the peds service but the hospital is completely full so we are just in a room in the ED. At least we have a room. But we most likely will never get on the floor. He’s doing ok, but he still is so sad-looking. 😭

Oh AmyG I’m sorry. Esp with your knee pain I can’t imagine it’s been easy to have your grandson all week. Big hugs to everyone with sick people. Thanks for the support guys. I feel so overwhelmed. He isnt eating well so I’m sure they’ll put an IV in him to make sure he stays hydrated soon enough. I’d rather they do it sooner but he ate well this morning so we were hoping he’d be ok. At least I get to use the hospital pump and really empty my boobs out. Silver lining? Lolsob.

I picked up DS and he was saying his head and body hurt and he was cold. 101 temp when we got home ☹️. I'm going to work a half day tomorrow. I made him a doctor appointment for Wednesday and if he's magically feeling better before then I'll cancel it. He's in a decent mood and ate his dinner right up but I'm still going to give him some Motrin before bed. When he was sick in January we think the only reason he puked was from the headache so we want to keep that pain low if possible.

Hugs to everyone with sick littles, thar are sick, with other sick fam/friends, or even if you just need a hug
DS(18) feels crummy. I hope it's not covid again, he's about 8 weeks out. We were planning on getting our boosters soon. I don't know if I can take a fall/winter of revolving illnesses

DS woke up this morning at 101, after last night before medicine being at 102. So home tomorrow too. I can't decide if I want to keep his doctor appointment tomorrow though. I imagine it's a cesspool right now so if he stays the same or is a bit better temp wise tomorrow morning I'll probably cancel it. I can always make something for Thursday or Friday.

How do you guys handle masking at work?
I'm coming in more, and the ONLY one wearing a mask, which is fine, but if I'm only with one other person, is the masking worth it? Like what is the threshold? If I was at a friend's house, I wouldn't wear one, for instance. A large group- absolutely.
There are 20ish people in the space, but I share an office with one other person.

Byjove do you know vax status? If it’s all vaxxed I’d feel ok not masking indoors. If there any anti vaxxers I wear mine. Before I quit my job I worked in a small office with three anti vaxxers-any time they were there on the days I was I’d mask, but didn’t otherwise. It also depends on if you’re in a public facing job though.

I don't know about boosters, etc.

byjove, we are not masking in those situations anymore. I don't feel that my one mask is helping all that much and NO ONE else is wearing one. I do still mask on planes and medical offices. I keep a mask on me in case a place turns out to be crowded or someone is noticeably ill. My house got COVID twice this year WHILE WE WERE MASKING everywhere. So I'm not saying our approach is right. Just that I personally have thrown in the towel with those few exceptions
