Noelle was an absolute inspiration. The challenge with the beam and her win was one for the books. I'm glad DD was in room so I could show her what perseverance and determination can look like.

I just binged the last 4 episodes finally and frankly Jesse pushing Cassidy to do fire (to her directly as a "you need to prove yourself" when she had one 1/3 of the immunity challenges and was guaranteed F3 and then again after saying it should have been her he went against on making fire - according to who??? - I think in a confessional)- was extremely misogynistic to me and he lost me as wanting him to win. I loved his story and I know he's going to get an upward trajectory from here no doubt, but that grossed me out. Maybe it's an OU but Cassidy 100% deserved to be there and his implication was that she didn't. Frankly I felt she deserved more votes than she got. As did Owen. I'm from a military family so I love that Gabler did what he did, but I'm still head scratching I didn't really see that move as mysogynistic because I think he would have said that to anyone in that position because it was his Hail Mary in the game. But the fact that it carried over to the jury and their perspective of her game in the final tribal council was something. Every post-season podcast I have listened to has expressed extreme annoyance with how much of a focus that was. Cassidy earned her spot in final 3 by winning immunity, she shouldn't have needed to do anything else. I think Jesse losing and everyone seeing him as the frontrunner led them to take it out on Cassidy in that way during the final tribal. I DO think there is misogyny in the way Gabler was treated as a kooky older player vs. how a woman in that role would be treated. And I think Cassidy suffered with the jury because so many women had been voted out pre-jury and so many of the men worked together in different pairs and groupings so that they were predisposed to vote for Gabler at the end because they could vouch for and understand his moves because they were part of them. She had a steeper road for sure and I do think her gender played a part. As for Gabler, on RHAP, Rob did a podacast where he binged back through the whole season with Gabler as the winner in mind and said there was lots of evidence of things he was doing, we were just all looking at it through the goat lens the first time through because he was such an annoyance to everyone at the start of the season (ex. he would say he was hiding in plain sight and I would roll my eyes, but he WAS actually double agenting and promising different things to different people and had a lot of information from several sides). I'm still not completely sold, but it didn't seem as inconceivable anymore.
