Tuesday that is a Monday

C has a cough. I don’t think it’s Covid, we will get him in for a strep test.

Pretty sure he got it from hanging out with some martial arts kids on Tuesday that were coughing. Poor guy got through the whole summer healthy and then this.

Got my belt done and A white fleece onesie thing for Es costume. Then messed up the tunic I was making, so I’m back to finding a pattern to modify.

School starts tomorrow. Today we are out doing brunch and the library and trying to enjoy the last day of school summer despite the monsoon happening outside.

This is our last day of summer break. C came down with a high fever Sunday night and it finally broke this morning. I'm hoping the older two can avoid it because they're so excited to start school tomorrow.

I'm working this morning but I had a terrible sleep so I may head home for a nap soon 😴

We were all pretty sleepy this morning but not grouchy so counting that as a win. I'm in the office today and the other good news is G and L LOVE latch key so that part of the transition has been positive. I still hate being here but nothing new there.

I was planning on taking the kids to the zoo today since it's the first day of public school, but DH and I both came down with colds with put the ex-nay on that. We'll maybe try to go next week, and hopefully I'm feeling better by Friday because I'm supposed to go for my glucose test and then take the kids to the homeschool year start kick off. F has been talking recently about going to school, so I signed us up for circle time with the homeschool group and I'm telling him that's school lol.
We had Ws birthday party on Sunday and it was pretty good, not perfect but good. I went overboard though, and my back and hips were definitely letting me know!

We are in a record breaking heat wave. A mobile glass installer was supposed to come replace my cracked windshield, but I braved their waiting room with L and J instead to avoid the installer passing out in the heat. J and L did fine since I let them use their iPad instead of trying to touch all the window and shower door samples everywhere. Anyway, when the tech pulled my car out of their garage, my car's thermometer said 113. On our 2.5 mile drive home, it rose to 116. Ugh.

I put some brewed Starbucks house blend in the fridge this morning, and it is extra delicious today cold with hazelnut creamer

F’d up the tunic twice. 3rd and 4th time the sleeve actually worked.

I have been sewing for 5 years off and on, today I finally did a sleeve attachment properly.
