Oh, I just found a list of worst royal dresses. Should be fun to include in the thread to help get us to 200.

To be fair, it seems like it's a limited release, designed in memory of the Queen. Probably designed more so to be keepsakes vs actual in circulation coinage. Is this something they all do? Like are there ones made during the transition from George to Liz? I’m not invested enough to research this. I just want to be a judgy mcjudgerson. Oh, good question! I shall check.

I'm wondering with all the side profile thing, if it makes any of them want to get a nose job. Like I look fine straight on, but my side profile... is... a lot. Not so fun fact, I look okay straight on but at one point in my life someone pointed out that I kind of have a big nose and it’s noticeable in my side profile and did it bother me. Well… it didn’t until someone said that and it’s been decades and I still remember the person saying that… Be kind with your words people 😂

While they have their profiles made out of metal on coins... forever and ever.

Ok, I can't find any articles referencing coins with both QEII and her father on them. This was her first effigy. Fun fact I did read: over time, the details on the masters were worn down, to the point where some of her facial details were gone and her dress line disappeared (making it look like she was topless). They had to remake the masters at that point. All told, 5 different effigies were used during her reign.

I don't know if even "it was the 80s" is a good excuse for that catastrophe.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, 2011, The Royal Wedding. This seems a bitnunfair. I don't think their dresses are that bad and deserve inclusion on a "worst of" list.

We were teenagers but still. Yes my nose kinda hooks at the end in profile but cool your jets man! I already knew it and was obsessed with it in a not great way.

Well, this might be my favorite that I've posted/seen. Garnet, natural pearl, cultured pearl and diamond tiara, Aage Dragsted, 1930s Ordered by Prince Viggo of Denmark, Count of Rosenborg (1893-1970) for his wife, née Eleanor Margaret Green (1895-1966). The couple was childless and the jewel was passed down to Prince Viggo's brother, Prince Axel (1888-1964), and his wife, Princess Margaretha (1899-1977), then by descent to the present owner. Estimate 55,000 - 90,000 CHF
