I just finished watching the Boleyn's on PBS. It was very interesting.
And no matter how deep I dive into the family trees I keep missing things. Had no idea QEII was related to Anne Boleyn via her mom

I mean that’s probably not true. I googled Katie Nicholl (the author who wrote whatever book supposedly has this anecdote) and a lot of the google results are things like her saying the Queen scolded meghan during a tasting, queen died of broken heart, Harry and meghan are obsessed with media attention, blah blah blah.

"Cheeky exchange" I feel like this would fall under asshole bully behavior? Not that he is one, but that he is certainly acting like one. Or feels like he has permission to act like one? Is LBC a good source? I skimmed the story yesterday and didn’t get the impression it was- if it went down as said, yeah. But without it being like a “cute” story Will or Kate tell to connect with an audience (because Will is absolutely tone deaf enough to think it is charming) or it coming from a special report on the BBC or something, I’m inclined to not believe it personally.

http://instagram.com/p/CjDLTYhjJQ7 Queen of Denmark strips four grandchildren of their prince and princess titles I would be upset if my grandma decided I was no longer a princess 😂 (I’m joking but it does make me think Charles isn’t the only royal trying to “slim” their monarchy)

Diana was extremely popular and so is her memory. Of course Kate wants people to sigh and say "oh, she's just like Diana. Shame they could never know each other." Yes! But yet another time when Kate is good Meghan is bad. So many headlines and things about how Meghan copies Diana and tries to hard but Kate is lovingly honoring her mother in law

Jealous parents are selling lies so that a 9 year old can be bullied online If there is any truth to the comment, I could see it being said in response to being bullied, like a last-ditch effort to get a kid to leave him alone. I might be projecting from my own being bullied history.

Charles looks like he's aged 10 years in a matter of weeks.

Random thought: the title "Princess Royal" is basically a consolation prize for the eldest daughter, to make up for those times when they got skipped due to #vagina. But now that the succession laws have been changed to allow for (an attempt at) equality, would George's firstborn be both Princess of Wales and Princess Royal, should the firstborn be a daughter? Or would the next daughter in line get Princess Royal?
Fun fact: if George has a daughter first, she'd be the first Princess of Wales by birthright. All others gained the title through marriage. Even Queen Elizabeth wasn't PoW, because she wasn't technically considered the heir apparent, since a boy could pop up at any time and immediately jump her in line.

No, her aunt held the title until sometime in Elizabeth’s reign, but I’m not sure she’d have been eligible anyway since she wasn’t the oldest.

She was not. There have been 7 in history, although kinda/sorta an 8th 1. Princess Mary (daughter of King Charles I and Queen Henrietta Maria) * Princess Louisa Maria (daughter of King James II and VII and Queen Mary) in exile 2. Princess Anne (daughter of King George II and Queen Caroline) 3. Princess Charlotte (daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte) 4. Princess Victoria (daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert) 5. Princess Louise (daughter of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandria) 6. Princess Mary (daughter of King George V and Queen Mary) 7. Princess Anne (eldest and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip)

I just didn't like the "haha, what a cute story" tone of what would really be a bullying or fighting incident in most schools.

I might be projecting from my own being bullied history. …so the last ditch effort to protect a bullied child is to turn the alleged perpetrator over to the internet for recourse? This author is going through it on twitter, but I am guessing she doesn't care. It is very much being said that she is the worst for bullying George knowing how much bullying he has had to endure thanks to the Sussex Squad. this author hates Meghan and Harry so she was liked until this.

Totally with you. I just think 1.) this story is clearly bullshit and 2.) if it were true, and it were a parent attempting to have George punished for bullying at school by the internet…then, well, maybe you should try other means of getting a good outcome? Oh yes I agree with you. This author is the worst.

But the dad was in talks with the Queen and had known about it since May! Rude.

I think I'm misunderstanding. My thought was not about the person reporting it. My thought was perhaps George was being bullied and in a panicked moment of not knowing what to do or say, told the kid the "my dad's going to be king" whatever nonsense. I can't speak to the reporting person's motivations. And again, I said I may be projecting that from my own history of being bullied as a child. Any which way, it's not "cute", and kids are off limits.
