On a personal note, I’m delighted that this happened on the fifth anniversary of the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville. I was a street medic for that and there have been a lot of posts and memories today.
Good people on both sides indeed, motherfucker. Now burn.

'But in any case, such a claim would not settle the matter. For one thing, two of the laws that a search warrant executed at Mar-a-Lago this week referred to — Sections 1519 and 2071 of Title 18 of the United States Code — make the taking or concealment of government records a crime regardless of whether they had anything to do with national security. For another, laws against taking or hoarding material with restricted national-security information, which generally carry heavier penalties than theft of ordinary documents, do not always line up with whether the files are technically classified.' 'As a result, the Espionage Act makes no reference to whether a document has been deemed classified. Instead, it makes it a crime to retain, without authorization, documents related to the national defense that could be used to harm the United States or aid a foreign adversary.' www.nytimes.com/2022/08/12/us/politics/declassified-documents-trump.html

I've been trying to wrack my brain and research a little, but has anyone been charged for espionage and Not been found guilty? I know there have be individuals pardoned or had sentences commuted, but have any actually been found innocent? I cannot find a single case right now in which charges for espionage were brought and the person was found not guilty.
Eta- nvm. There are quite a few. I forgot about Tony Russo/ Pentagon Papers whistleblower. But there's only been 3-4 in the last 50 years acquitted of it. I need to read more about the Franklin/Rosen/Weissmann case. In any event, I highly doubt Trump had those documents for any "noble", anti-war purpose as others may have.

Help me remember - wasn’t there something one of his adult kids did when he was in office and they were like “he’s just a kid, he doesn’t know all the rules (laws)”?
Because I feel like we are about 5 minutes from that being said about T.

I forgot how involved his “kids” were in the first impeachment case.

This may be optimistic at the end (I hope not) but it paints a clear pic of what seems to be happening and the questions we still have.

These neighbors are so fed up with them. The way they can’t wait to attach the reason for their call to her name tells a whole story.

Speaking of NFTs - we are going to the baseball game today and they are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the 2012 World Series. All the fans get a commemorative NFT and I’m like - I still don’t know what that is and I’d rather have a Taco Bell coupon good sirs. Me:
