What are the hobbies you currently have? What are the hobbies you used to have? What do you hope to share with your children? Brought to you me, sitting at the bottom of a small crag where my husband is showing my children how to rock climb.

I sew and embroider and my kids are desperate to learn but it’s hard for me to ruin my hobbies by making them take 10000 years.
A was a great rock climber, and we both did it together when we started dating, for a couple years. The kids are finally old/with it enough that we’re trying (4, 6, and 8).

My biggest current hobby is gardening. I actually just pulled some potatoes out of my grow bags for supper tonight! I don't really have time for much else, because of children and work, but I've been big into crochet, sewing, and baking at different times. For a while I even was into making fascinators, but that was like a decade ago - I don't have that much creativity right now lol. I do involve the kids a bit in the gardening, as much as they're able to "help", and I'm hoping that they'll at least learn some basic sewing because I think it's a good life skill. Whatever else they wind up wanting to learn I'm willing to teach them!

I’ve always jumped around on hobbies. Previously, scrapbooked, knitted, sewed. I don’t have any real hobbies at the moment…unless you count researching and planning trips that probably won’t happen for a while. I’m also the PTA president so that’s a big time suck for this year but I guess can count as a hobby since I enjoy spending the time at school. I’d like to join the local rowing club that rows on the Erie Canal. I always seem to miss the sign up dates though.

My hobbies are very basic: baking, reading, and writing. I include the kids in baking.
I used to ride horses but I don't see myself ever picking that up again.
My husband is obsessed with insects so he's always taking the kids on missions to find interesting insects and then rear some of them at home. He also pins them and the kids like to watch.
He doesn't have much time for other hobbies, but he enjoys disc golf and he's started to occasionally go regular golfing with my dad. I'm hoping that as the kids get older I'll be able to start golfing with him. And he'd like to teach the kids, too, but so far only N (4yo) shows interest.

Pre-kids I used to sew and crochet. I also liked making foods that one would usually buy. Like cheese, jam and hot sauce (ha). Now I buy ore-sliced produce because I have no time for these things. I do make pasta on occasion. Walking was a huge hobby of mine for years. I do want to teach my kids these things at some point. Or bring them into my biggest hobby (my company). M really wants to learn to sew and she’s finally old enough to learn the basics. Oh yeah, I love carpentry and fixing things. My kids are all over that. Hopefully soon enough they can be my helpers, instead of MH, who haaaates that stuff.

I don't think I have any actual hobbies, currently. Which sounds kind of sad. There are lots of things that I do that I enjoy, but they aren't producing anything. Is going to the beach a hobby? I am obsessed with the beach, it makes me so happy. Walking and caring for dogs, both my own and neighbor dogs? Vacation planning? I did do some cross stitching during early pandemic days and I did like that and should do more of it. I enjoy cross stitching quirky little sayings that I can put in places like my laundry room.
Previously I have been into scrapbooking and making homemade cards. The remnants from all that still live upstairs in a box somewhere. I also have a sewing maching that I had grand plans for but never have really used.

Rock climbing doesn't produce anything and is definitely a hobby. It just has to be what you like to spend your spare time doing.

Lately walking/hiking with the dog has become my go to when I need to gtfo of the house. I love seeing her happily run free.
Recently started playing tennis again. Plan to sign kids up for lessons this fall as my dad always saying “you can play your whole life” makes sense now.
Light gardening.
I need to beach more.
I’d also say….bird watching? But not. Backyard bird watching and stalking owls in the woods when I’m w the dog.
I want to spend more time kayaking and exploring new localish places.
Though I’d also like ovenrack and A to bring me and my kids rock climbing.

Sewing, knitting, crocheting.
E has expressed interest, but honestly I’m learning as I go on a lot of it. So it’s really hard to teach.

My friend tried to get me to transfer to her college just so I could be their team's coxswain. Her husband said the first time he met me he couldn't get over how loud I was for someone only 5'1" LOL
