Well, Walgreens pulled through in the end. I had to call the pharmacy directly but I got my 8 insurance covered tests, woohoo! When can I get my next set? Is it by calendar month or every 30 days?
ETA looks like calendar. Guess Iβll be calling again later this week.

So sorry kbw. FWIW, we had my twinsβ birthday party 2 weeks ago. SIL tested positive 2 days later and no one else got it. Not even her husband and 2 kids. I hope she has mild symptoms and no one else gets it.

Thanks all. She says she just feels like a head cold.Iβm the biggest exposure risk because I sat next to her in her car to pick up the pizza. But DS1 is being a total grump that we cancelled his play date today with a friend because of it.

There's only been the three batches, right? IF I missed a 4th, I'll reorder.

I swear I've only ordered 2 sets, but the USPS website says I've maxed out (I don't live in an apartment or some of the other issues I've heard about with addresses).

I still have some but still annoying bc once our 90 days are up and school is back in session and my due date approaches I know weβll be going through them a lot faster.

Are you able to get them through your insurance? We just burned through the stash we had for required covid testing before our vacation last week, but I was able to get 8 from insurance yesterday and I'll order 8 more later this week once Sept 1 hits.

I had the same exact thing happen. There was a link or something to submit a request if I suspected an error. I told them I had only ordered 2 sets so far and was eligible for the third. It took a week or so, but I got an email saying they resolved the issue. I got the tests in the mail a few days later. trueblue I saw you said the same thing. I hope they fix it for you!

I ordered our last government tests last week and they got here over the weekend. I'm annoyed the expiration date on them is the end of September, though. I know we can use them for a few months after, but still. π

I think I only submitted 2 orders but last time they sent 8 tests instead of 4. So maybe they counted as another order

Then I realized it seemed to be the manufacture date, as it was also stamped with a date a year out, which I think is the expiration date. Though the government ones have probably been sitting in a warehouse since the program opened, so may very well be expiration.

I will say for our government ones, they had an expiration date of August 2022 (shipped in May). The ones I picked up from the pharmacy with insurance yesterday have an expiry of Sept 2023.

Check the fda website before throwing out expired tests. Shelf life on many was extended.

So now that my big kid is done with daycare, we talked about carpooling with another family to daycare. I just texted them to offer to pick up their kid and their kid had just gotten a faint positive this morning. This would be his THIRD time. And they are so careful and heβs gotten them from daycare every single time. I guess silver lining is we could carpool without worrying too much about COVID for the next little bit of time at least.

But I still mostly work from home or with a handful of people in the office and DH is surrounded by hundreds of high schoolers all day. And he got the first booster early as a teacher so it's been quite some time. So I really want him to get one.

No name but that name thread helped us make a short list. So we have a few options. I keep trying them out when I try to talk to him but they all feel weird. And I literally was like OH MY GOD 8 weeks?!?! I need to wash all his clothes!

The end of September date is the later of the two dates on the label. For sure check the FDA website. Many of the expiry dates were conservative, but as they have sat on shelves and been tested, they've been able to extend them out further. Also perhaps check the manufacturer's website directly, because the FDA website had some incorrect dates last I checked.
