Ugh, I'm nervous about this one - especially since it's on a primary ballot and not a general election.

I am having such a hard time right now being a Michigan football fan. I have been a fan for as long as I can remember but Coach Harbaugh is making me want to quit.

It isn't like I am buying tickets or anything so really it doesn't matter completely, but it would be hard to put me or my dd in Michigan gear this season

It takes a real pathetic ass to go get in the face of families of veterans suffering life threatening injury from their service in war zones

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Today, U.S. Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), and Susan Collins (R-ME) introduced the Reproductive Freedom For All Act. This legislation would enact in federal law the essential holdings of Roe v. Wade and related cases, protecting abortion rights and contraception access. This would undo the damage of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, and would enshrine in federal law the fundamental right to reproductive freedom. www.kaine.senate.gov/press-releases/kaine-murkowski-sinema-and-collins-introduce-legislation-to-codify-roe-v-wade

aging Jon Steward reminds me of my uncle. I mean, my uncle is a hermit and a bit of an anarchist and all around odd bird. But something about how they look they remind me of each other.

For awhile when DS1 was a toddler, he would point at Jon Stewart and exclaim, "Dada!!!!!" Jon Stewart looks nothing like my H 😆

I love angry Jon Stewart. I love every version of him. I’ve always had a crush 😻 I recently rewatched Big Daddy (yeah I know - my taste in movies is what it is) and I enjoyed seeing younger Jon Stewart. He reminds me of my most favorite boss I ever had. A grumpy old man in a younger mans body but also one that is smart and actually correct when he rants.

LOL I that my title? that's a good title for me as it's the job I'm currently pursuing. This would need 60 votes. The other big legislative package flying around right now, the Inflation Reduction Act, is a budget reconciliation bill and only requires 50 votes bc budget reconciliation (among a couple of other things) are not subject to the filibuster. Yes it is arbitrary and confusing!

This is the worst timeline I thought the polio vaccine, if you got all the series as a kid, was like 99% effective? Are we supposed to worry that this is no longer the case?

This is the worst timeline Definitely. There are still people living that got polio before the vax and are living with life long affects from it. It boggles my mind.
