Thanks for the checkin, westiemom. I am annoyed because after my positive hpt on Friday, my hcg came back negative and I got AF today. Blarg.

I'm just waiting for a few more days to pass before I test. I'll probably test Thursday, maybe Wednesday if I feel too impatient. Blood test Sunday but I doubt I'll get results that day. I felt some pulling sensations yesterday, but they weren't bad and didn't last long.

AFM, transfer Wednesday. 2 ml of PIO every evening is quite literally a pain in the ass. I caved and found out the sex of our two PGS normal embryos, both little boys! We will thaw and transfer a 4BB boy and then if he survives thaw will have one other 4BB left.

Hi ladies,
When did you know you were ready to TTC #2? We are meeting with the RE on 8/9 (was supposed to be tomorrow but they had to reschedule since she is sick) to see when we can do another FET. We have 2 PGS normal embryos left and are seriously thinking of doing another one before the year is out since our deductible is met but still unsure if we are 100% ready.

Thanks, everyone. mnj05, FX, waiting is the worst. I can't believe with all we know about medicine that there isn't a better way to do this whole thing than just wait, wait, wait. nikiswims, yay for little boys! I was so afraid of having a boy because I know nothing about them but he is so much fun I wouldn't trade it for the world. crazycatlady6, I was going to say if you're not sure then you're probably not but some days I'm still not sure so what do I know? Can you ever truly be ready for a second? I wasn't actually ready for my first! But you've gotta try sometime, and now that we're struggling with #2 I wish I had listened to my H and started trying sooner even though I didn't think I was ready yet.

DrHooch - thanks for your response. Some days I feel like I'm ready, after rough days with R I tend to second-guess everything. Preferably I would like to wait an extra year but it did take 5 years to get pregnant with R and age is something not on our side as I am in my late 30's and DH is in his early 40's. If #2 brings us another baby, I will be in my 40's when we implant #3. The only thing that is 100% certain is that after our 2 embryos are implanted, we are done TTC.

He was a total crab last night and both H and I were looking at each other like we want to do this AGAIN?!? But I really do. Especially when he gives me a tight hug and a dramatic kiss before bed. I so want to do it again. I don't know if I'm ready but I kinda feel like it's now or never, and I don't want it to be never.

TW...
I tested today and got a faint line. I'm actually not too sure of it just because it was a 1 minute rapid test and I didn't see it until 5-ish minutes after. I don't even know if that matters. I'll of course be testing in the morning, but my tests with the boys were darker in the afternoon.

crazycatlady6, some days I question why we're TTC already (LO was born in March 2017). We basically decided to not prevent immediately, since A came on the 4 year mark. Part of me is super bummed that it didn't happen immediately this time, but realistically it's probably best that we wait another month or two (I'm a teacher). We conceived via IUI though, so we have no embryos. Our current plan is to keep "trying" on our own (I am refusing to temp, but am okay with OPKs), and meet the RE in Nov/Dec to schedule an IUI early next year. I figure at that point A will be 10 months and a possible pregnancy would still have 9 months til delivery. We won't be doing more than a few rounds of IUI though, so if it doesn't work, we'll be one and done.

mnj05 !!! Did you test again today? I can't believe you have to wait until Sunday for a blood test. I am bad at waiting. grover I thought that my IF was "fixed" once I got pregnant with DS, so I was also super disappointed that it didn't work immediately. ifintn, I remember you! (but I don't need meds)
