'Really you have a month left? But your so big?' ...and I will crush you for saying that bitch! What is wrong with people I've been lucky most of my pregnancy and never really ran into to many annoying people but lately one of my neighbors took it upon himself to comment on how HUGE I was getting. UGH. Glad he's on holiday now so I won't have to listen to the rubbish no more. One friend just said "omgosh you're almost glowing, you are so beautiful pregnant" - while it made me feel weird too (esp the glowing part.. I think it was just cause I just woke from a nap? ) at least that was a nice thing to hear!

People should all just be quiet!! . There is one very sweet guy at work that once in a while I see that goes "hey skinny looking great" I work with his wife on the daily what a lucky lady to have such a sweet guy. The only person who says nice things like that to me is my husband. everyone else tells me to relax not get offended about being called huge because I'm supposed to be huge... yeah that that is not helpful at all. Also my random thought here is I'm due three weeks!!! Get out!!! MH has been awesome as well throughout the pregnancy, and he just loves my bump and thinks it's perfect. When I complain about how big I feel he doesn't at all agree and says sweet things instead heh.

Random random. Baby weighted 5lbd 12oz with our last growthscan on the 17th. (MFM told me yesterday heh). I wonder how much she will grow still till she gets here! No ones ever told me how much the baby possibly weighs. I bet she'll get to 7lbs if you go the full 40 weeks. When I read other ladies updates after scans that included weight estimates earlier on this pregnancy I always was a bit surprised and perhaps envious cause I was curious too. But it wasn't until I got the extra scans because of the scare we had some weeks ago that they started telling me. I did check my file and saw that with the 27wk follow up A/S they also put in an estimate of her weight based on size etc or something but I don't think they actually told us back then. I think tis a fun fact to know

Is it possible for baby to drop at only 22 weeks? I feel like my bump has flattened out somewhat and I feel pain in my hips a lot more. Sometimes sharp pain when standing after sitting for awhile. I also feel punches or kicks very low at times

I think that is when my hip pain also kicked it into overdrive...

I say I'm huge and complain about my cankles and sausage feet and weight gain and he just showers me with sweet compliments and kisses the bump. It makes me love him even more. We're so lucky to have such sweet guys!

pepperpottsj You can do it! I am sure it will go really well, and even if things get a little emotional - you have the best excuse ever - pregnancy hormones. People tend to not question that 😉

Dr appointment was a bust. She could barely get 2 fingers into my cervix. 😩 She tried to strip my membranes anyhow, so hopefully it'll help move things along.
I begrudgingly made an induction appointment for next Thursday, but I really don't want to be induce. I'm all up in my feels and may need to go for an ice cream run to drown my sorrows.

I am convinced this child is made entirely of elbows. He's all sharp angles jabbing me all day long. He knocked the breath out of me a couple times recently.

@easilyunamused *Lurking* Try not to stress too much about it. I remember going to my doctor's appt on a Friday morning and only being 1cm dilated and 60% effaced, which was very little change from the prior week. I had been having more BH contractions and thought I had made some progress, so I was disappointed. That night, H and I stayed up til midnight watching a movie, and then I went into labor at 2:30AM. I remember sitting on my yoga ball eating dates periodically during the movie 😂

My cervix is still high and thick, but she didn't give me a percentage. I was also sitting on my yoga ball eating a ridiculous amount of pineapple yesterday. I'm over being stressed. lol I allowed myself one sulking day. He'll come when he wants to. Already the tiny dictator he is. 🤷🏼♀️

Well, induction is scheduled for next Friday. I'll be 41 weeks. I'll have till Wednesday to change my mind. Obviously unless he comes on his own.
Anyone have any opinions/experiences with inductions. Would you do it at 41 weeks, or just wait? I'm a little conflicted about doing it.

I was due Wednesday, 9/7. At my OB appointment on Monday, 9/12 (so 40+5) my OB said she wanted to get an induction booked and offered that Friday or the following Monday. I wanted to wait as long as possible so I chose Monday when I'd be 41+5 because I wanted to wait as close to 42 weeks as possible. Partially because my FF ovulation-based due date was actually 9/10 so I may not have actually been as far overdue as the doctor provided due date said I was. I ended up going into labor after my appointment on 9/12 so it didn't matter. Apparently he just needed a membrane sweep and a set eviction date to get the show going on his own. In your shoes, as long as everything looked good with baby I would reschedule the induction as close to 42 weeks as they would let me. It gives more time for labor to happen on its own and if labor never starts, it gives more time for your cervix to thin and soften to hopefully allow for as smooth an induction as possible. I haven't read the whole thread so sorry if you have already mentioned this, but have they talked about doing another ultrasound? I had a BPP (biophysical profile) Friday 9/9 where they looked at fluid levels, cord blood flow, fetal movement, etc to make sure everything looked good. The fact that baby looked good was part of the deciding factor to let me schedule an induction as late as I did.

Thanks Nymeria! I am going to see my dr on Wednesday, if he doesn't come before then. She did not mention anything about an ultrasound. I was going to decide based more on that appointment if I'll go through with the induction. See if I'm more dilated and effaced. I definitely don't want to push things if my body is not even a little ready. I'm starting to have a little anxiety and the safety of the baby and the safety of myself so that's what's pushing me towards an earlier induction. I hope this is all for not and I'll just naturally go into labor before wed.

@easilyunamused I'm sorry you had to schedule an induction date. If you want a thought for the other end of the spectrum (to be induced as early as they would allow) I've got plenty of those, haha (as a nicu RN, I panic for postterm).
What would you ladies say term is? This is so dumb but we never did a pregnancy announcement bc of loss brain and sensitivity to posting about pregnancy on social media, so I never got to do the one idea I had. But now that I'm 37w tomorrow, I kind of want to post SOMETHING -- like, " made it to term! " or something. But at what week should I do that? What if I don't make it to my Edd? This is such a dumb problem...

addymac - I'm not sure what the official point is, but I didn't really consider full term to be until my due date. I know that's probably not the majority opinion, but since opinions have changed on what's considered full term I personally just looked to my due date. Officially I believe that while 37 weeks used to be considered full-term, many medical professionals now consider that "early term". @easilyunamused - If an earlier induction would be better for you anxiety-wise, go for it. An induction at 41 weeks vs closer to 42 weeks seems more for the same of hoping things will progress on their own. Your mental and emotional well-being is just as important as physical health and there's nothing wrong with a 41 week induction. That's good you have an appointment Wednesday since that's how long you have to change your mind. Hopefully labor decides to start on its own and none of this matters!

addymac I consider 37 weeks to be full term, as that is what my OBs and MFMs told me was my big goal. I've been high risk for PPROM, so I would be thrilled to make it to 37 weeks and I will absolutely celebrate that milestone as making it to full term! If you want to announce it that way, I think it makes a lot of sense and I say go for it! @easilyunamused No advice from me, but I will be thinking of you these next few weeks and hoping that baby decides to show up asap - without an eviction notice. If that doesn't happen, whatever you decide is what will be best for you - good luck at your next appointment!
