I did pretty good at the fair today! Still got some yummy stuff that wasn't way out there. I also made a decision. I was letting my macro group pressure me into thinking I needed a home gym. I have wanted an incline treadmill forever. If I'm going to splurge on something fitness for myself to celebrate hitting my goal, it's going to be that. I'm not letting anyone tell me what kind of exercise to enjoy. Body Beast will be just fine for me as far as weights go.
Pre: toast w/jelly B: protein shake; apple L: fair food (grilled chicken on a hoagie bun, plain; roasted corn on the cob; handful of fries) D: Bob Evans Wildfire Chicken Salad S: chocolate chip cookie cake for DS' birthday
Exercise: 6 miles on the treadmill, plus walking around the fair

AF FINALLY came today so body, can we please work on the bloat kthx. I did really good today after two days of maintenance eating. I feel recovered and ready for Monday's workout. Starting next Monday I'll be bumping up to 5 lb increments and I'll start it out with a 200lb squat, and I'll be adding in my third workout as soon as we can find some weights. Bar and clips came yesterday and bench is on its way!
I'm really proud of H for seeing his squat rack through. I have to be honest, I was skeptical that he'd get it done so quickly and efficiently but he really did it.

My 5k is this morning! My goals for it are 1) to run/jog to the first water station, which looks to be about 1.25 miles from the start, with no walking. 2) finish and 3) beat my previous PR of 37 minutes.
Then we are off for a week of vacation! I lost all the weight I gained during my work travel and weekend with friends and Then some so I'm going to try to not completly blow it his upcoming week. I'm planning to still go to a weight watchers meeting so I can at least keep accountable.

I did it! I accomplished all the goals I set for the race and unofficially finished around 35 minutes. I'm not the fastest, but I finished!

It's so much easier to pay attention to my macros when my H is home. When I'm by myself during the week I lose sight so easily.

I do so much better when I just have to worry about me. Oh, and toss some food at the kid once in a while too. And he takes the wrong meal sometimes and I don't realize it. He has significantly different needs than I do.

Thanks for the wrench, pal lol. He's very meticulous about his macros now, since he's found his results under the bar are far more exponential. Our grocery bill has increased half again as much as I used to spend, and that was including formula I don't have to buy anymore!

I might hurt him if I went to grab my lunch and it was gone.

I'm here to confess I ate a cup of peanut butter cookie dough last night 😣 there is one of those edible cookie dough places across the street from our condo. I saw it the first day and knew I would be going there. It was good, but I honestly could have eaten one spoonful and been satisfied.
Oh well! Off for a beach run this morning to make up for it 😜

Happy Monday. This week is my peak mileage week (technically one of two, because I started training early so I will be repeating a few weeks) - 33 miles total on the calendar, to include a 14 mile (!!!) run on Sunday. Here's hoping I don't die.
It feels weird to not really have a "goal" right now. I'm not maintaining yet, still on my slow cut calories, so there may still be a bit of loss. The half is a goal but feels different than a scale goal. Eh. Just going to take some getting used to.
Pre: toast w/jelly Post: protein shake B: skinny mocha; bagel w/PB L: leftover Frosted Flakes chicken; Greek yogurt; apple D: barbecue pineapple chicken; diced hash browns S: leftover cookie cake from DS's birthday
Exercise: treadmill (4 miles); Upper Plus; Abs/Core Plus

Yesterday was rough. But I made it. I did end up getting an Italian sub for lunch, though. I knew it would be better to just get the food I'm craving rather than deny it and end up eating something equally as bad but not as satisfying. And now that I've satisfied the craving I'm good.
I started phase 1 of the Thinner Leaner Stronger Challenge this morning: Chest/Triceps/Calves.
Today's plan B: spinach & feta omelet (1 egg, 3 whites), wheat English muffin w/ jam S: yogurt w/ strawberries & fiber one L: chicken breast w/ sweet potatoes & broccoli S: cottage cheese w/ blueberries and granola D: salad w/ sliced turkey & cheese
The TLS book came with a few sample meal plans. So I'm getting some ideas from that and I calculated my macros based on the book's maintenance plan for someone who weighs 135. It turns out to be a little over 1800 cals so I'm going to see how it goes. I liked this one better than someone who is my size and cutting, simply because it's a more reasonable protein goal (135 vs 188!)

I need to go shopping today. I have no food in this house except two eggs and frozen broccoli.
Yesterday was pretty good. I've noticed that I trend toward a high fat diet, and that eats up all my calories and doesn't leave me much left to work with. So that's my goal, bring my fat down and leave myself some room.

Broccoli and eggs are actually really good together. My day is pretty much a C&P except for the exercise component. I try to cardio on Tuesdays unless H has other plans. We too are running low in the grocery department. ETA: NM. Thanks Wal Mart grocery! I didn't think I could get a pick up still today.

Planned rest day today. I went with active recovery and did an hour walk on the treadmill with varying inclines, only 3 MPH, anywhere from 1-12%. It was a nice recovery for my legs from running. I hope to do another walk at lunch, it's supposed to storm but looks ok so far.
I am STARVING today. I try to save "breakfast" for noon and only eat my pre and post (if there is a post) workout snacks in the morning to keep myself from being ravenous throughout the day. It's a struggle today though. Coffee and diet soda aren't killing the appetite.
Pre: toast w/butter B: bagel w/PB L: leftover BBQ pineapple chicken; Greek yogurt w/granola; apple D: parmesan pork chops; baked potato S: Skinny Cow protein ice cream
Exercise: active recovery (1 hr treadmill walk)

Broccoli is one of the things I just cannot make myself like, no matter how it is prepared. That and its white broccoli counterpart, that devil cauliflower. Blech.

I just need a couple more eggs and then I can actually feed my family! 😂 Actually I might have some venison in the freezer downstairs. I don't want that though because it's from my dad and whoever does his butchering is terrible at it. WAIT A MINUTE. I can crockpot that, yo.

I was up early to workout again: back, butt, biceps & abs. I'm already really tired & just want to nap at my desk. I have tomorrow off, but it's because we don't have child care so I have to figure out stuff to do with my kids. Either the zoo early or the movies. I told DD1 it was her choice.
Today's meals B: spinach & feta scramble, English muffin w/ jam S: yogurt, strawberries & fiber one L: chicken w/ sweet potatoes & broccoli D: either salad w/ shredded chicken or veggie burgers
It's supposed to rain today, so I probably won't be taking a walk at lunch today.

Rain here today as well, so I may lose out on my lunch walk too. As much as I have hated work lately, I hate when I can't get out and walk. I should have just brought my umbrella.
Pre: deli turkey; toast w/jelly Post: protein shake B: breakfast sandwich L: DQ day D: spaghetti pizza
Exercise: treadmill (3 miles); Total Body Plus

You people and your eggs and broccoli made me put omelets on the menu for this week. I even got red onion and cheese, go big or go home.
Enchiladas tonight though which reminds me, I need to put that chicken in the crockpot when the dishwasher is done.
