I'm solo parenting this week, and so far so good...but this is just half of day 1, haha. I got a notification that the 123 magic book I ordered arrived. Anyone use it with their kids? DD will be two in a couple weeks, and we have been seeing more meltdowns with her, so hopefully this helps. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk I have used it with DD and another child at school. It's really worked well for both of them, but you'll have to be very consistent. I didn't do a great job of preparing DH for the program, so I took the lead with it at home, but it's been great.

I can't decide whether I should say I only have 12 weeks left or 3 months... I think weeks makes it sound sooner. I have reached the "there's no mistaking she's pregnant" stage as multiple cashiers have wished me well and asked about my due date. I am large!!

I have 17 weeks left but I've only had 1 stranger comment on my bump. I was talking to H about this a couple days ago. It's funny how societal etiquette says don't mention or ask if a woman is pregnant. But when I'm pregnant I want it to be noticed! Lol I have an obvious bump.

I just took a 1hr30m nap on the couch. Whoops. I don't like taking naps cause then I can't fall asleep at night. Sometimes you just need a nap. Hopefully you'll sleep ok tonight. I am ready to put my head down at my desk and take a nap lol

We have wifi but the cell service here is nonexistent. My biggest complaint is that I have to run back to the house to pee every 20 minutes because I've increased my fluid intake since we are outside all day. We went for a boat ride this morning and DS is loving swimming in the lake/kayaking with dh. I'm enjoying the shade and breeze. Baby needs to get off my bladder. But s/he was super high so I guess I shouldn't complain, since no matter where kid is sitting, I'm gonna be uncomfortable!

Oo super funny story. There's another preggo here and my mom told me that she's also due in November. She doesn't look pregnant at all and well I'm either smuggling a basketball or pregnant. I was just like .... whaaaaaat and what is growing in MY uterus?!
Turns out she's due at the end of December. Thaaaanks mom!

I fall asleep almost every night when I put DS to bed. Which sometimes is as early as 730, so obnoxious lol. Usually it's just a short snooze but the other night I passed out and didn't wake up until after 10pm.

Can someone explain pack-n-plays to me? We registered for a baby trend one. There is a bassinet and a changing area on the top. Then there is another mat/cradle (?) about halfway down, and then the bottom. What is that middle part for? Do I need another mattress that goes in the bottom? Idk why I can't figure this out. I'm blaming pregnancy brain. Plan is for baby to sleep in this in our room until ready for crib. Then use it when we travel as needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

fancy, PNPs are a useful place for baby to sleep. We use one for naps on the main floor because it's easy to just put a sleeping baby down in the PNP and get some things done around the house. You can use the bassinet for the first few weeks, then you take the bassinet off and use the higher setting for the base. When they are a certain weight and/or can sit up, you lower the base to the bottom. At that point I got a mattress for it to make it more comfortable for DD but up until that point, she really didn't notice or care. Also super convenient for folding up and bringing with you when you stay at someone else's place or go out of town! I have that Babytrend one and it was super useful to have the changing thing on top.

I think you can use that up to 15 lbs? Or maybe 18.

fancy - our PNP didn't have the baby napper (which is what I'd call the spot next to the changing pad). We just used the flat middle part as the bassinet until he weighed too much, then he went into the crib. The middle bassinet part shouldthem go to the bottom of the PNP as the mattress. No need to buy another mattress IMO.

fancy we never used a PNP. I used either a swing or RNP to put him down for a nap downstairs. And we bought a 4moms playpen for play/naps or sleeping away from home when he was a little older. The 4moms one is great cause it's ridiculously easy to close/open up and carry around.

That super sucks. I would push for this too. Unfortunately, they have to use the blood results to determine the dose or something like that, and those results take an hour. I guess the only way to save time would be to have my blood drawn twice...once for the rhogam and once after drinking the glucose. I doubt they'll do that though. Yeah unfortunately it probably costs less for them to lump the draws together because it is one venipuncture charge. And I think they probably just test the blood to determine that you are Rh- before giving you the rhogam.

I have this odd rash on the back on my hands. doesn't itch and its not raised at all; it has been there since Friday. totally strange... called doc around 9 and still not word back. guess no news is good news. it must have been a stormy night. we had some bad ones here too! I would keep and eye on it and bring it up at your next OB appt (sooner if it spreads). Rashes while pregnant can be no bueno.

I hope I'm Rh-. lol

I love love love the Graco PNP we have. We used the newborn napper and changing pad combo all the time (it flips from one to the other). And then it was useful for naps or just to contain the baby for a long time.

We also love our pack and play. We use the baby napper attachments and the changing station as our downstairs changing area and nap spot.

I went to a mom's pool day Saturday and was in the bathroom every 30-45 min because I was drinking so much water. My bladder has finally noticed the new large mass in my torso and I'm not into it.

My hips and lower back are killing me tonight. My belly exploded this week and I am feeling it. It's too early for this much discomfort. Please, universe, do not let me go to 40 weeks.
In other news though, we went to BJ's tonight to look at the playset again. The website said there were none in store, but the manager dragged one out of the back somehow, so we now have three enormous boxes in our garage that is a disassembled playset. H took tomorrow off work so he can put it together. I hope E loves it!

I made a stir fry with broccoli and cauliflower because I hate myself and now, hours later, I am so bloated and full of gas I can't get rid of that I feel like I'm going to explode. I forgot how painful gas can be.
Pregnancy is sexy.

My kids are running me ragged this week. I can't keep up and feel like death. They won't nap, or if they do, they are up till 10:30-11 at night and I get no time to myself. My husband is a farmer so he's gone long days. I'm done with summer. I need my son to go to school. Lol (he starts kindergarten in the fall!)
I'm packing up tomorrow and heading to my parents cabin at the lake. They can swim all day and hopefully be too exhausted to fight. Hopefully I can get some rest so I can start to feel better.
And this heartburn is back wth a vengeance. I don't see my doctor till August 8' I don't know if I can make it that long. It is so bad. Ugh. Might see what my BIL (he's a doctor) can suggest in the meantime.

Laying in bed, playing on my phone last night before I went to sleep and DD was going mental as usual, but she was punching (I think) my left hip and kicking my right side right up the top by my ribs. Was a strange feeling and I was feeling breathless by the end of it lol
